Taking a break from Forsyte and reading The Blood of Elves by Andrzej Sapkowski

I'm reading that right now as well. I love the "fable" nature of the books (it really surprised me at first) but I'm not enjoying the plot much. I'm about halfway through, so we'll see.

I wasn't too thrilled with it myself, but it's the first volume. I got the next book on hold and see if it gets better

Read this one about 5 times, I think the second of hers I read, maybe in middle school.

My second of hers as well. Read Orient Express a few years back. I knew who did it going into it. Our college drama club was originally supposed to do Ten Little Indians, but ended up doing Streetcar instead. I was still taken aback with how dark the ending was. Good stuff. Maybe for my next one of hers, I'll try a Miss Marple mystery

Anyway, on to  The Boys: Omnibus Volume Two by Garth Ennis

Curious what you think. I am 20% in to Heart-Shaped Box and while I am mildly enjoying it, I am at the 'fish or cut bait' point of deciding if I want to finish it.

It's my favorite short story collection of his by far. I really didn't like his last one, Strange Weather. Hope you haven't given up on HSB. I think it's pretty great, although Horns is better in my opinion

Anyway, moving on to Thomas Jefferson: The Art of Power by Jon Meacham

I might get back to it, I moved on to Murder in Time by Kendra Donovan and it is holding my interest much more.

I finally finished Mistborn by Sanderson. I’m a very “binge” reader. My niece recommended it to me 3 years ago, and it took me a year and a half to get around to it, and then another year and a half to get through the first 100 pages...and then I went through the next 450 pages in a week.

I loved it, but I don’t have the second book. I was thinking of starting up the Wheel of Time series, but instead I asked my stepson what his favorite fantasy novel was, and he loaned me Magician by Raymond Feist. I’m halfway through that and loving it.

The second Mistborn (Wax and Wayne series) is really good too.

I'm currently reading Legion: The Many Lives of Stephen Leeds by Sanderson. Really fun books and quite short for him.

Yeah, Magician by Feist is super good. Feist also wrote one of my favorite horror stories of all time called Faerie Tale. Highly recommended.

Now on to The Heroes by Joe Abercrombie.

Let me know what you think. There's a hilarious 2-star review on Goodreads where the reviewer didn't like the author's style and wrote a parody of a chapter, it's kinda mean but it's so spot on I still find it hilarious. :lol

Personally I didn't like the book much. The only ones I'm a big fan of are Best Served Cold and A Little Hatred, his latest.

I liked it. He earns his Lord Grimdark title here. The charter where it follows one person until they die and then follows who killed them until they die was pretty cool.

On to Fletch by gregory mcdonald. Also reading Bloody Rose by Nicholas Eams

Been out of sorts with my reading for a few years now, and would like to get back into the habit. Pulled out my copy of Dune to break the mold, pretty due for a re-read since it's been a good 15 years and with the movie coming out later this year, it just just seems a good time.
