Just finished The Thanos Quest as a precursor to reading The Infinity Gauntlet by Jim Starlin in preparation for the new Avengers even though I know the movie will be nothing like the comic

Finished reading LOTR yet again yesterday, and immediately after that was done I started on Eric Idle's biography " A sortabiography - Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life".

Come to think of it, that's one hell of a transition. From the epic fantasy universe imagined by Tolkien to The Life of Brian basically.  :lol

Read K.K. Downing's official bio over the weekend. Pretty quick read. Its fine for what it is. I'm a Priest fan, and have most of their records, but I'm not a hardcore. Was interesting to learn about Ken and his time in the band from his perspective.

Ahh... you're milling about with my old friends!  Old long tall and Ugly being one of my best friends, say thank ya big big.  If it's your first time through (I've been through the series four times counting audio books... which you may want to try as Frank Muller's renderings are incredible as are G. Guidall's) I envy your journey, so I do.

"Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!"... quite an interesting man he was!  Pursue Interestingness indeed!

No, it's a re-read, must be the third time now. And sadly I'm not into audio books, it's probably my attention span that's too short for this.

I've found it's tough to leave that world for too long; glad King saw fit to blend some of his other worlds into it.

"The Elementals" by Michael McDowell.  Awesome story!  McDowell's building technique is very nice... he started it off with an interestingly sharp "point" for sure!

Alright, so, I consider Terry Pratchett one of my favorite authors of all time, but I just couldn't get through that story. I actually DNFed a DIscworld book. Oh well, let's see how Wild Cards 1 (expanded edition) edited by George R.R. Martin goes

Making Money surely isn't his best book. His later discworld novels just aren't as good as the earlier ones, maybe, really just maybe his illness has influenced his writing style to some degree? But I thought it was still a worthwhile read.

I also really enjoyed Wild Cards I, Wild Cards II on the other hand wasn't really that good. Not sure if I will continue with the series.

Now, about to reread a modern favorite of mine, The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I'm finally going to read the sequel, but I need to refresh my memory
