I've been making my own protein shakes for breakfast for about 5 months. We have vanilla, fruity pebbles, chocolate peanut butter & Coffee mocha protein powders. We use zero fat Greek yogurt. Zero fat milk and any fruit I desire.
What goes in the fruity pebbles one? Lol.
While protein powders aren't essential, you're not getting the added sugars you'd get in milk and yoghurt, but saying that......

I actually had two bowls of Cocoa Pebbles after work today.
I bought a box of froot loops for the first time in a while on the weekend.
The thing is, you can make any food work on a nutritional plan. If weight loss is the goal, as long as you're in a deficit AND you are getting the required amount of protein, anything is fair game.
