That's great to get to spend so much time with your father
It was nice. When he retired he and his common law wife moved about an hour and a half away from us to a really nice place in a rural area. Literally their house sits above a river and they're on 15 acres of land. Very peaceful for them/him and I'm super happy he gets to live that way in retirement. But the bummer is he is that far away and it's tough to see him more than a handful of times a year. Coordinating trips there or them coming to us always seems to have some sort of wrinkle.
So I do cherish those moments as while he's in great shape for a 68 year old man you just never know what the future holds.
