Well, the clothing is doing a good job of hiding the paunch. You don't look noticeably out of shape. Are you exercising too? I started off by only doing like 50 crunches a day and like 25 or 50 girl pushups (hands and knees contacting the ground as opposed to normal pushups where your hands and toes are the contact points) and was right back to doing 100 crunches and 50 real pushups per workout and doing about 10-12 of those workouts per week less than a month after I'd started this health kick.

The double whammy of losing weight plus gaining muscle will make your workouts noticeably easier in just a few weeks time and then you can gradually intensify it to greater levels to expedite your progress if you wish.

Is this the only workout you did to lose weight?  besides a good diet as well?  Like no cardio?

I work retail and my department is probably about 150x60 feet if not bigger not counting the dozens of times I have to walk to other parts of the store throughout my shift so there's a decent chance I actually do more cardio than a desk worker whom jogs a few miles does during a typical day.

On a busy day I can walk up to 4 miles just around the cafe and to the shop / butchers buying stock.

True, yea my phone has a pedometer on it so I can see how much I walk at work.  I don't have a normal desk job, but my desk to feet ratio depends on the workload of the day.  I can hit 10k steps (about 5 miles) on a busy day, but slow days it is tough to break 2k steps (about 1 mile).  I should do what you did though and hit up the crunches/push ups after work.

Just a quick heads up: DO NOT do crunches. It's not as bad as doing squats with improper form, but it's close. The minimal at best fitness benefits weighed against the potential damage makes it not worthy of your time or effort. If you guys are gonna put the work in, I wanna see you have some success. When it comes to the basic of abdominal workouts, functional sit-ups and planks/side planks are great. Those things are always great, just get more complex and are part of a longer list of exercises as you get more fit. Push-ups are terrific for your entire shoulder complex, and so are Pullups. That covers your chest, shoulders, biceps, triceps, lats, and multiple back muscles.

Can you explain what a functional sit up is?  When I do sit ups I use a work out bench on decline and maybe hold weights on my chest.  Is this bad for me?  Been awhile since I did these  :lol

Here is a couple of me with our new (mostly) outdoor cat. Came with the house we bought pretty much, a somewhat sad but neat story behind him.

Jennie is the only one who can't name cats. She named her cat Bob. My cat is a girl and is named Xanadu. This cat is the only guy and is named Bagheera.

:lol

What's the new cat's name?  Did he/she get along with your cats once you moved in?

It's an odd thing. Bob was the first cat, and was well established when we got Xanadu. When Xanadu came along Bob hated her, and for months they wouldn't go near each other except to eat. They eventually became neutral and one hiss or fight on occasion. So when Bagheera came in I expected Bob to be an ass again... instead Bob became neutral within a few visits, while Xanadu continues to hate Bagheera. Bagheera meanwhile is the textbook example of "honey badger don't care". Truly does not show much of a reaction to any conflict around him, and when I set him down he just immediately melts into you.

Nah, he does nothing to show dominance. He just ignores a lot of stuff.

My mother's one cat (also fully black) is like that. Not talking fat, he's the biggest cat I've seen. He really does look like a miniature panther.

Sometimes that's how it is.  He just doesn't give a shit what those others, those females, think.

(I am very very drunk in that last one...)
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Best fucking weekend I've had in... years. Very little sleep. Shit ton of alcohol (free booze at the event where the last pic was taken). So fucking amazing.
