Fair enough. Honestly, this has been the best car! I'd recommend a Subaru to anyone.
Yeah, the impression that I get is that it's actually pretty solid. And being AWD and slightly overpowered for it's weight, I'm sure it's a hoot to drive.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

On Saturday my son's school band played at halftime of the UMass game at Gillette Stadium. Here is The Lovely Mrs TAC and I:

Then on Sunday, we did the Freedom Trail/Harbor Cruise in Boston:

And yes, assholes, I AM wearing the same shirt two days in a row!!

And I posted in the Hard Rock thread, but here's a 19 y/o TAC in June of 1988 on the way to see the Monsters Of Rock at Giant's Stadium.

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I wasn't questioning your ability to drive a stick. I've just always been wary of high-winding turbocharged rice-burners.

I was just poking at the fragility of the WRX tranny, at least in the earlier US models. Those things were made of glass, or balsa wood or something. I'm a DSM (Diamond Star Motors... Mitsubishi/Chrysler/Eagle) guy, on/off road enemies of Subaru. I was just throwing stones from my glass house, as DSMs are historically the most UNreliable cars EVER! But, I WILL own a 2g GSX one day that owns all. Until then, a few pics of the old girl RIP.

I actually had one in college.

One morning, I got up and some dudes must've picked it up and put it sideways in a parking spot.

So I had got a couple of my friends to help me pick it up and set it straight! :lol

Y'all are funny thinking Ive burned through transmissions.. my car has over 70k miles and I've not had any major issues nor have I had to replace the clutch or gears.

And..... I give it 2,500 miles.  ;)

Backstory:  When I was in college, we were talking about cars one night (I drove a '78 Datsun 280Z, mint, sweet) and I started mouthing off and said something to the effect of "Of COURSE I can handle a car like that; I've driven it hard, but never even gotten into trouble let alone crashed it!"     Not a week later, ran head long into a tree at about 65 mph, totaled the car and lucky to be alive, let alone walk away (which I did; when the first cop on the scene asked me if the driver was still alive in the car, I said "I was the driver" and he told his partner "watch him; he's out of it".).

Mono Lake, which may look familiar to some of you.
