I was on antibiotics for whatever it was that I had, but I did have some beer. One of my coworkers (a nurse) said it would be fine to have one as long as I didn't take the pill with it

My mom's 50th bday party was yesterday. There was drama (there always is with this family) but it was the first time in a year or so that all 3 of her sons were together... which made it awesome. (Ok and my brother's girlfriend of like forever who's pretty damn awesome )

I got a new phone. 15 years into the 21st Century, I finally join it and get a freakin' smart phone. My justification all this time has been that the added expense wasn't worth it to me, so Verizon finally played some hardball. The phone was a free upgrade, the $40 upgrade fee doesn't apply when you do their Verizon Edge program, which I still don't fully understand, but the bottom line is that so many discounts apply now that all four of us have cell phones and data plans that our phone bill goes down nine dollars a month and I have a brand new smart phone instead of my old basic phone. So okay, deal.

It has a camera that faces me, so I took a selfie. My first.

The wife and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. We didn't 'do' anything crazy....we went to a really neat art studio and made a mosaic letter 'M' which was really fun, then had a really good dinner at PF Changs. Very Blessed to have had this awesome woman in my life for 13 years with being married 10 of those and find so much comfort in knowing I get to live life with her.
