It's my cardboard cut out that was in the stands for all the home Penn State football games last season

Pretty cool reminder of how 2020 went down.

If anyone is wondering, to get one it was a $75 donation and then you could have picked it up a couple months ago or pay $20 to have it shipped to you.

So we're on vacation in Breckenridge CO, been doing some hikes, biking.....spent a day at a resort doing alpine slides and those gravity powered roller coasters.....anyway, last night I was looking online and realize we are staying 3 miles from the trailhead of Quandry Mountain. Turns out it's one of the 'easier' 14,000 summits in CO....and by easy they meant that there was no gear or anything needed. This was a 3.3 Mile Hike Up to the summit and back down.

I decided to go for it and it was pretty cool. Brutal....but worth it. The last 1/4 mile or so was pretty hard. I experienced all three Altitude sickness signs.....dizzy, nausea and headache....but I just took a rest and drank more water and pressed on. So glad to have done it.

14,265 foot!!!!

That's it way back there!

We took the kiddos on a Hike earlier this week that got us up to 12,800.....I've never seen mountains up close and personal like this before. They're breathtaking and amazing! Pictures just don't do them justice.

My 18 y/o took the shots. But yes, I'm the one who usually asks for some random stranger to take the pic. My family calls it "dad making friends". And they know the telltale signs. I have my phone out, looking around. lol
I'm at the point now where I really have to spring it on my family.

Huh, I fell victom to stereotyping. I had assumed that was more of the woman's purview. I have anxiety with strangers so I cower when I know she is wanting a picture and scouting for a potential photog.

God I miss Arizona. Sedona is absolutely beautiful. Some wonderful hiking around there.

It was in the 40’s. But VERY windy so not sure with the wind chill. I had gloves but didn’t wear them and my hands were pretty much frozen at the top.
