Bump. Hey folks. Date on Sunday. One of my female friends asked me what I was gonna do with my hair. She mentioned I should do a half-up ponytail. I was like wtf is that? She showed me a pic and I was like... oh yeah. I do that at home all the time. Keeps most of the hair down while keeping all the hair that makes my face hot tied back. So I took a couple photos at work today and sent them to a few female friends and they all say it looks good, but there's a split on whether or not I should show up like that, or show up with it all down. If you don't have long hair, this sounds like WAY overthinking, but seriously, I'm looking for second opinions because I love how this looks and feels on me personally but as one of my friends pointed out I am a dude from central Illinois, not Ragnar Lodbrok.

And yes, I will be heavily grooming the beard tonight, leave me alone. Haven't really had a reason to bother with it until now haha

So... what say y'all? Looks cool? Looks like I'm trying too hard if I show up in a leather jacket with my hair looking like that?

I say go full on ponytail. Oh, and have a hair dresser square up the ends a bit.

You could always ask your date to put your hair in corn-rows...she'd probably love to play with it!

I cannot think of any lady that has shown interest in me who hasn't at some point asked to braid or do something else with my hair. Especially because my hair is soooo much longer than hers, I don't know what she thinks about my hair honestly

I'm gonna try to see a stylist Saturday to get it cleaned up a bit, if I can - not sure how things are running with the pandemic.

I need a haircut as well, last I went when they first opened them back up here, you need to wear a mask all times and just hold it over your face while they clip along your side so it doesn't fall off, that and no waiting room, appointment only and wait in your car.

As for the hair tips, I can't help you there. I've got no style and no real opinion on what looks best. I would say don't over think it though, be natural and be yourself, that's going to be way more charming than your hair style.

I'll wing it. I've only been in a salon twice in the last 14 years. If I can get in, great, otherwise, fortunately my hair looks good even when I barely brush it.
