Oh Jackie, always jumping to the most homoerotic possibility.

The new song does remind me of the first album, both musically and stylistically. But there's a slightly different, more mature attitude to it. I don't think the new album will be a replica of their debut.
Slipknot are like Korn or Limp Bizkit, they really feel like a remnant of the past. Nu-Metal (or that side of Alternative Metal) hasn't aged well for me at all. You can say what you want about Linkin Park's last 3-4 albums, but at least they left a dying genre to try something different. New Slipknot is like being transported back to school and all those problems and the angst you had as a 13 year old. Not to hate on anyone who likes them, that's just my opinion of course. I'm probably pretty biased since Nu-Metal was my thing as a teenager and it feels really dated now.

it's powerful man, its something different, people are going to lose their minds when they hear that."
Zook is right.
Never really listened to their first one, but I love every album from Slipknot that I own.
Am I the only one who enjoys all of their albums? Also I think the new track is a grower. Kinda reminding me of when I first heard Hail To The King.
ABC News Radio caught up with Adler and asked him about the Internet chatter. "Right now I think silence is golden," he said. "Right now I don't think those guys need me, or need me talking about it."Regarding the fact that many fans have posted online that the playing on the track sounds an awful lot like Adler, he said: "You know, I listened to it and I thought it sounded a little bit like me, too," he admitted. "At the moment, I just don't recall doing it.""I'm getting texts and emails and phone calls about it," Adler added. "[But] for the moment, I don't know anything about it."
