Doubt anyone's heard of these guys, but their upcoming album "The Book of Gates" is gonna be sharp.  The teaser with Allen/Sommerville is very, VERY nice.  Nice list of guests as you can see (there's something for everyone).  Their first album had some nice appearances as well - Mark Boals, Kevin More.  I think you can still stream the whole thing at ReverbNation.

“The Book Of Gates” is a concept album, telling the story from the land of the Pharaohs, Egypt. Here follows a description behind the meaning of the artwork:

Spiraling into the depth of deception, hypocrisy and greed, the characters of The Book Of Gates travel through the fabrics of Life and Death’s epiphanies.
The quest for immortality, dictated by false doctrines and promises of lying priests, places a huge political burden on the reign of the pharaohs.
The Book Of Gates, the tale of a union separated by an abyss of psychological turbulence and the alliance of opposites.
Main characters :
- The Pharaoh (In The Tomb).
- The Queen (Statue In The Middle).

On Book of Gates (the project with Moore/Allen/Somerville), Elyes Bouchoucha (MYRATH) is also on the project.

Lebanese guitar maestro AMADEUS AWAD has revealed the artwork of his upcoming solo EP titled "Schizanimus". The EP, which will be released in August 2013, shows the artist venturing into a new style that combines Ambient elements with Progressive Rock sounds and a hint of psychedelic flow. "Schizanimus" will feature huge names from the Progressive Rock scene, such as the British drummer Gavin Harrison (PORCUPINE TREE, OSI, KING CRIMSON...). You know, I was just saying to myself the other day:  "We REALLY need another album about ancient Egypt.  Even though it's been done before, I feel like the music world as a whole is about an album short of the desired quota.  IF ONLY THERE WAS ONE MORE!"

Unfortunately, no.  I asked Somerville when I met her on the Avantasia tour, but she had no idea either.  All of her vocals are recorded, so it's all in Amadeus' hands as far as she knows.

This album has FINALLY been released.  And it's more than the 4-track pre-release EP that RJ got (and reviewed) a couple months back, including 3 bonus tracks.  Awesome listen - as RJ will attest to with his awesome review.... "I just didn’t want the album to end, and had no problem spinning it again and again". 

It's on Spotify for those that want to check it out - and I highly encourage you do.  Tolkki doesn't do anything to ruin this one!
