I didn't see them in the OP, is the OP accurate?
Of course it's accurate.

PT was sort of done a while back in the main PT thread, I think, but it was kind of disguised as a "let's talk about each album in order" discussion. Clever. :lol :lol

Of course it's accurate.

The thread for official band threads isn't accurate so I figured I'd ask.

I don't know if there would be any interest in a Pain of Salvation discussion thread at the moment, but I could start it whenever one the previous threads has finished. (Though it's probably a good idea to postpone it until I return from my holidays in august.)
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

As I recall, there was at one point a rabid following here.  I think it's a good idea, but yeah, if you already know about a time away, you may want to wait until then.

I'm not sure how much it matters, but I finally finished going back over my discographies and updating links to all the album covers and other images.  Basically, I was using Facebook as a poor-man's Imgur, but Facebook apparently changes the links every once in a while, probably to prevent people from doing what I was doing, so most of the links were broken.

I ended up re-reading a lot of them, and the ensuing discussions.  Holy shit, I write a lot!

Anyway, I think I got them all, and now I feel better about life in general. :)

We are in need of an update on this situation.

Well, that's the Mars Volta discography thread over with. It took a worryingly long time, so in future, I'll only take up the task of a discography thread when I have lots of free time AND reliable internet.

Free time with an upcoming half term approaches me. If there's any interest, I've been listening to a lot of Van der Graaf Generator recently. I can do that over the coming weeks if anyone wants it. It won't end up like the Mars Volta one. I promise.

OK, we have one thread recently completed (Spock's Beard), one I think is close to being done (Savatage), and one which may last forever (Frank Zappa).

Anyone else ready to jump on a new one?  Or maybe wait until after the holidays?

In th coming weeks, I want to start a Neal Morse Discography thread, off the heals of my Survivor. It'll also be nice to have one after the SB thread. If there's a lot of support for the discussion, I'll start it sooner.

Yeah and I have a lot of free time coming up. I wouldn't necessarily say I'll do every single Rick album ever in the history of Wakeman, (i.e. the collaborations and stuff with Strawbs and stuff pre-musical noteworthiness) but I'd certainty do the main body of his work.

Is anyone on the hook for a Gentle Giant discography?  They're another band I've been listening to forever, and I didn't see them in the OP list.  I could probably do one.

That would be interesting.  I am (sadly) not very familiar with them, so it would be an interesting read, and a good introduction, I'm sure.

Other classic bands that would be neat to see covered would be Camel or Caravan.

They (Gentle Giant) are on my "to-listen-to-sometime-in-the-future" list, as I've heard a lot of good things. Maybe such a thread could help in moving them further up my list.

And then, an Orbert discography thread is always worth reading.

I would be excited to explore Gentle Giant both because I've always wanted to get deeper into their discography and because I love reading Orbert's posts.

Just got a request from OnTheBacksofAngela for her and Train of Naught to lead an Avenged Sevenfold discussion.  Also added Orbert to do the GG discussion.  Since there are only a couple underway (and Savatage is finishing up), anyone on the list can go at anytime.
