The Mona Lisa. It was cool to see it, but I thought that famous piece of art was much....bigger

I wasn't necessarily disappointed by this, because I was definitely prepared for how small it would be.  The more disappointing part was that it was this tiny painting hanging on a huge wall by itself, and shared a room with a bunch of other gorgeous Italian Renaissance paintings, none of which anyone paid any attention to because they were all too busy gawking at the Mona Lisa.

That wasn't necessarily a "disappointment" though.

No since I don't pay £50 to see a band I do not enjoy.

Iron Maiden concert.

I mean, yes they are legend and I love their studio recording albums. I'd waited them for years to come to Turkey and they did and it was totally disaster. Bruce's voice was a joke and their whole performance was just "meh".

Wow, really?  I've seen Maiden several times and each time has been amazing.  Sucks you had a bad experience.n
I'd be interested in knowing which tour it was. Hard to say how things would go in Turkey,  but over here when they focus on newer material the shows tend to be lacking in energy. That's why we get shit for album tours in America. We only get greatest hits and throwback tours.

£50? Not bloody likely, mate.

In his defense, I wouldn't pay $50 to see a band I don't care about, either.

To be fair, I love Rush and I won't pay their ticket prices. Their just very interesting live anymore. I only went to the last show because they were filming it for a DVD, which ironically would only be worth a DL to me. Years down the road I might pop for a used version so I can get the case to put my ticket in.

Rush

Yep. Never liked Rush.

I believe this means we can never be friends.

I agree - since I don't make friends with people who are shallow enough to dismiss people based on their musical tastes. Good day. ;)

I hope you know that I was being facetious. :lol Hard to convey in text, I know.

Sorry, everyone. Ghostbusters simply did not click with me. The whole thing felt awkward nonsensical, which would be fine because it's a goofy comedy and arguably a spoof. The problem with that is that I didn't really find many things too funny. I was just confused the whole time.

I wasn't necessarily disappointed by this, because I was definitely prepared for how small it would be.

19 June 2011 which I went. I guess this is not just me. The people around me or the musics forums where we discuss share the same opinion. Especially about Bruce's voice. But I was kinda sad that I didn't go the next IM concert on 26 July 2013. Many said that it was amazing and absolutely better than their last one.

Almost as many as I'd truly be satisfied with but, then again, nothing involving my dick culminates in satisfaction.

Not a particularly strong setlist. Shame, too, since it'd been 12 or so years since Maiden had been there. Makes me wonder if they have much of a following in Turkey.

We won't. Most of us in GD feel that it mostly blew.

I wouldn't say it blew.

When I left for work this morn, I got in my car and realised I had left the curtain hooks that my step dad had requested. So I went back in my house to get them. I then got in my car and thought "oh yea....I wanted to give DT XII another spin yesterday." I pondered going back in to my house a second time to get the disc. I didn't go back. Probably says a lot.

Oh and as far as the O/P.....Nandos. Everyone raves about it. I went once. I was underwhelmed. And it was fricking pricey too.

The Wire.

Underwhelmed might be a better word than disappointed, but I had heard for YEARS how awesome this show was, and I finally got around to watching it last month, and after watching four episodes, which I liked but didn't love, I've had no desire to watch any more.  I guess I was just expecting more.

I recently watched the entire series actually, and I agree with this. It was enjoyable enough, but didn't come close to living up to the hype at all. I think it's very overrated.

I know I will get a resounding chorus of "You're doing it wrong," but threesomes. I've only had one (or two, if you count the one time my friend bailed on the girl he was with and she decided to join me and my girl, which neither of us really wanted)

It started out promising, but I think the gals were just not really in to each other. hey didn't do anything more than kiss, and it ended up with just me doing one, and then doing the other. Which I am not complaining about. But individually neither of them was extraordinary, such that taken alone, they would both be considered very underwhelming. So taken together, it was rather disappointing.

Still working on a follow-up with better talent, but being married is hampering that goal.

You've never been to Plymouth Rock? You're only little over a half hour away, no?
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
