Lock thread artwork - appreciation thread

I've noticed the locked thread artwork over the last coupled days.  Don't know who's doing it, but good work.

Just to summarize, we've seen ones from the following releases:  DT, ADTOE, and BC&SL

I especially like the last one, with logos on shirts and lock jewelry.

I know, right?  I feel like I'm in an community based on control and subservience every time I come here.  God forbid you express what you really think, lest the banhammer come forth.  So much important and relevant Dream Theater discussion is being missed out due to the oppression of these Nazi-like administrators.

Thank you for your insight and wisdom.  For all that you contribute to this forum, I must say that it hurts my heart to read your comments and realize that you feel this way.  Perhaps it would be better for you to find a different forum to hang your hat.  It will be painful at first, but somehow I trust that I will find the strength to move on.

I kinda wish the moderators were more lock crazy...some of these thread suck!  It's only a matter of time before there is a thread about what your favorite Dream Theater song is to strut around the house while wearing a banana hammock.  But hey, I do a pretty good job of skipping over those threads.

What was the name of that 80's chick band?  Ramabanana or something like that?  Good potential for some highly provocative artwork.  Lock thread art could possibly involve a chastity belt of some kind to prevent the banana from....uhh....ok nevermind.  Wrong name, wrong band. 


I think a new caption for DT lock thread art should say, "A-lock for the Ride"

As a stand alone piece of music I quite like it. Nice melodies etc.

But I don't think it really works as part of IT. IMO it just feels like "hey why don't we stick a string section in there because we can?". And then some people are wowed by it because it's a string section in a DT song. It was a brave move! I just don't think it really works.

It's a great way to get your mum listening to DT though!

First of all, I think we all know the Banana Hammock thread was legit.

Second, I do agree that of all the weird threads, the eleventh favorite album thread was kind of thought provoking. 

I never got the "favorite fourth" track stuff but the eleventh?  I know what my least favorite is and my second least favorite.  Of course, I couldn't choose a tenth favorite because then it would all jumble together because at that point I like most of them equally. 

If I could add one suggestion to the mods, and I say this with the utmost respect because I feel this is the best moderated board I have ever posted on (seriously...I'm not just saying that to kiss ass although it is certainly one of the reasons I said it), I would like to know a reason why some things are closed.  Maybe it is covered in another thread, maybe they think its just a stupid thread (which there is a 90% chance it is)...but anyway, my banana hammock just got done in the dryer.  Gotta change.
