I like the song,  I'm jut not a big cover guy for bands are established and have a big catalog of music.  I didn't like when Rush did it.  I didn't like recently when Toto did a Hendrix song.  I like cover albums but live, i want to see them do their own songs.

I found it on Spotify. Not 100% on it atm. Chord progression is pretty generic. They're capable of more inventive stuff on that front.

Finally! :)

I didn't like the song a lot. Here's the other one, sung by Curt: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=utbysyCpGpo

Also weak to me. I was expecting something mind-blowing after so many years of waiting. I liked "Floating down the river" a lot, so even something like that I would have loved. Let's see what the albums sounds like next year...

A little generic electronica maybe, but good to hear the voices again. Will look forward to checking this out when it’s released. Roland looks like Gandalf now!

I am all over this.  Roland's full gray look stunned me, but his voice still sounds very good.  Such a good band.

Thanks for sharing! I hadn't noticed.

This is actually very good! I didn't care too much for the 2 new songs they included on their 2017 compilation. But, this one was a nice surprise.

I've been waiting for this album for almost 15 years. It's great to know that they finally have a release date.

EDIT: Just realised that next month marks the 40th anniversary of the release of "Suffer The Children", their first single.

Enjoyed that a good bit more than the first single. I like how Roland sounds in that lower register.

Seeds is one of the greatest pop albums I know but I don't know the following albums very well (have heard Raoul twice or so). I am very excited for the Tipping Point and I think I will check out their later albums in preparation of the release!

I really like both Elemental and Raoul. Everybody Loves a Happy Ending is good too, but I probably like the other two better.

The guitar-driven sound of Raoul and Elemental albums is interesting compared to the huge production of Seeds, but I feel like both albums are lacking Curt's influence. I'm not sure though who of the two brings in which influence as I'm not as knowledgeable about them as I am with f.e. Steely Dan.

I am excited to hear Everybody Loves A Happy Ending as Curt was back in the band for that album.

See, for me I kind of got the sense that Roland was 90% of what made Tears for Fears great. He wrote most of the songs on Big Chair and Seeds of Love, and Curt only sang lead vocals on one track on Seeds of love, so by that time Roland was the biggest contributor to their sound. I think Elemental and Raoul both hold up well against the earlier TFF albums even without Curt, though there is more of a 90s style to them of course.

I thought Raoul was okay, but liked Elemental quite a bit.  That said, I listen to the 80s album and Everybody Loves a Happy Ending (which is fantastic) a ton more.

The new song is really nice. Looking forward to this.

Elemental has a really great closing trio of songs with Power, Brian Wilson Said, and Goodnight Song. I also think Break it Down Again is one of their better pure pop tunes.

Can't wait to see them live.  It's been 35 years since I've seen them live.  Crazy to think it's been that long apart.

Damn.  A little bummed they aren't coming here this year, but I did see them a few years ago on that joint tour they did with Hall & Oates.  That was pretty sweet.  :tup :tup

That would have been cool.  I saw Hall & Oates with Chicago in the early 2000s.

Was Oates still sporting his 80s porn stache? :lol

It was long gone when they were here a few years ago.
