My respects to Mr. Labrie
« on: March 20, 2014, 10:08:08 PM »
Just came from the Toronto concert and this needs to be said..

Anyone that gives James Labrie crap needs to cut it off. The man is amazing. I lost half my voice after the first song but the man sang his cords out until the very end. He sounded amazing. Especially during Trial of tears.. wow.

Anyone giving crap to James, please try performing like he did tonight and then we'll talk.  :metal

Amen! He is a true inspiration to me as a vocalist, and for damn good reason!

absolutely, James is on another level, you see the confidence coming out of his voice and well as in the band itself which is a big contributor, he's nailing the high notes like never before, he is the only voice for Dream Theater, end of discussion, well said rubenchitito  ;D  :tup

Yes, I was quite surprised at how he handles the Awake and Scenes material this tour (I saw him in Amsterdam), his voice sounds really powerful! Moreso than the last tour even. Anyway, lets hope he sounds this good on the recording of this tour, as this setlist, vocals and overall stage design could definately lead to my favourite live-release  ;D

I have seen every tour going back to Octavarium. Seen DT 8 times in total. He has been spot on awesome this tour! The best I have ever hear him sound. Not that he hasn't been good in the past, but he has his voice working at peak potential these days.
Yup. Tick is dead on.  She's not your type.  Move on.   Tick is Obi Wan Kenobi
