Clayton Kershaw throws a no-hitter!!!!!  He's been my favorite player since his first spring training with the Dodgers.  He lost his perfect game because the shortstop made a throwing error???  It's not the pitcher's fault!  Stupid rule. He was perfect.

Whatever dude, the Kings won the cup so I don't want to hear about it! >:(

Seriously though I heard it was one of the most dominant pitching performances of all time.

Jonathan Sánchez had the exact same thing happened to him in '09. It's a shitty way to not have a perfect game.

No-hitters and perfect games are often saved by fielders making spectacular plays in the field.  And sometimes, a perfect game is lost because of an error.  It happens.

Yankees, please stop giving plaques to and retiring the numbers of very good, not legendary players. You're embarrassing yourself.

Next years it'll probably be Scott Brosius just to continue their milking of those 15+ year old teams.

Should we also point out how absurd this whole Derek Jeter farewell tour thing is?  I mean, giving him gifts at cities he barely played in like Houston?  Really?  Don't get me wrong, the guy is a Hall of Famer, and a Yankee legend, but this red carpet treatment he is getting in practically every city is way over the top.

Yeah, I really don't mind. No one said anything when Chipper did it 2 years ago or Mariano last year.

Both of them got this same treatment and I find nothing wrong with it.

I'm kind of with Kev on this one. I actually didn't mind it when Chipper and Mo did it but for some reason the Jeter one seems like way more of a "me too" than anything.

No one is asking them to do it, but if they didn't the media would crucify every team that didn't give him a gift and would discuss their lack of class for about 2 weeks.

I agree. I think Jeter announced his retirement before the season so he wouldn't be bombarded all season by questions, however. He doesn't come off as the kind of guy who would really care about the sendoffs from teams, but certainly enjoy it if it did.

does anyone want any of the blue jay pitchers or pitching "prospects"

we have old SkyDome signs, and a SkyDome mascot outfit to trade along with them.

we'll take anyone who can make it to the fifth inning or beyond better than once every 5 starts.

Boston....we have a knuckle baller......(dangle's the knuckly cheeze)
Take care everyone - Bet you all didn't even notice I was gone.

Adrian Beltre calls time at the plate and steps out of the box.  The opposing pitcher throws the ball and the umpire calls him out on strike 3.  WTF is up with these umps this year???  How can you miss the batter not being in the box???

The ump has to award him time before it is official.  Sounds like it was Beltre's own fault for stepping out of the box before time was awarded.

So I'm a Cubs fan...

Hopefully this will the be the last year we will be sellers at the trade deadline... I think next year we will start to contend... but this year I just hope we get to 70 wins.

The Mets are multiple games under .500 but have a +19 run differential.

They've won several blowouts but have lost a bunch of close games.
