Wow  :omg: Amazing footage, both of the photos!

The recent one looks like the dude is summoning the aurora.

So this spinyback Orbweaver spider is in our backyard and spins these incredibly large webs everyday. I took some pics with my DSLR 55-300mm lens and a few with the 50mm and a reverse mount. The reverse mount basically makes it a macro photography shot. It's the last one with the super close-up of the hair.

Lovely shots. When I was out in Japan a few years back, I stumbled upon a route that was full of Jorō  orb weavers. They are very majestic creatures.

That spider reminds me of the Banana spider I used to see in my old place in another Florida city.

The large one is apparently the female and the male is trying to do the deed with her.

Yes, that is a sunset, I took that photo at around 5 PM few weeks ago (no daylight time here yet). It is in Osijek, Croatia, on Drava river, where I live at the moment. That on the left, right under the setting sun, is a Baroque old town/fort.

That's cool!

This type of big files always fascinate me since there are so many details into one picture. Not sure if you seen Hubble Legacy Field, but it is a 1GB image that the more you zoom in, the more you see. I think the resolution is 25,000 x 25,000 or something close to it.

Edit: Found the page for it

I am an avid nature photographer, and have seen some pretty cool shit. I took this shot from my back yard 4 years ago. These are mammatus clouds, which will sometimes form after a big storm is just starting to break apart. I have several shots of these clouds over the years, but this one definitely looked the most surreal.

That is awesome! Love those crazy cloud formations.

I took this of the moon with my 55-300mm lens a couple of weeks back when the Lunar Eclipse occurred. Wish I captured it a little sharper, was having a hard time focussing in the dark outside.

This is a great idea for a thread. I hope others will post more photos....so mine won't seem so gratuitous!

In lieu of that, however....I did want to share this shot from January of 2016. About a mile west of my house. It was -22F. I remember this because it came very close to breaking a record low for the area. I had to keep the camera batteries in my interior coat pocket just before I installed them....or they would barely even function (my hands too!). I thought the juxtaposition of the "warm" sunrise created the perfect tension/dynamic for the photo to "work". Hence my rhyming photo title/watermark. This is literally a seriously cool picture!

Excellent shots CCD! I try to share when I take some interesting pictures. The lunar eclipse was the last interesting shot I took.
