I've got just a few from friends in realt time, i'll post just this one to give an idea of the crowd

and i'll say this: i've never seen such enthusiastic comments, especially coming from some real hypercritical friends.

JLB's performance has most of my interest, to be honest. I can tell he's only getting better as the dates go by, which is what I expected, but I'd like to be able to tell at what rate exactly, so thanks to everyone who has been uploading videos from the shows  :tup

Lifting Shadows Off A Dream https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=djMLpqSoUQI

Great performance by James, and i also like MM's playing, he adds some fills which are very musical and incorporate his drum setup in a great way. It seems to me like he feels much more comfortable in DT now, and he takes some creative decisions on old drum parts which are good to my ears.

Here's a clip of Illumination Theory, beginning "The Pursuit of Truth".

Every night JLB is getting better and better at the "money, love, and fame" part.

The only other clip I've watched of Illumination Theory is the first night of the tour, and that's a definite improvement. He's hitting the notes better, has more power and sustain, and is sounding much closer to the album.
It seems like the F might be a bit of a push night after night, so maybe he's abandoned trying that so he can save that energy for the "money love and fame" line, which he nails there. Pretty good for that late in the set.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

What a great improvement. I watched the first show videos and now this. The difference is amazing.

Holy fucking shit that was amazing  :omg: Mangini is on somewhat of an all-out groove mode in there. Did JLB add a "lifting shadows..." at the end or it was only a "whooooo..." in the end of the song?

I think Trial of Tears is now my favorite Dream Theater song.

Just heard the clip and I partially agree with you. I started paying close attention to DT's live performances with MM's arrival and I think JLB tends to improve as the tour goes by rather than wearing out (which I think is unusual compared to other singers, it's something a lot more common in younger ones). The only question I have is if the F is that much of a push, considering it's not sustained for long. I don't think it could really strain his voice. In any case, I prefer the "money, love and fame" bit over the F, but it would be great to hear it in full quality. I hope he hits it on the official bootlegs or recordings they do for this tour.

Mind-blowing performance by James.
Fixed. At the beginning, he sang with his old style; man, I thought he was doing playback but no. The high notes in the last chorus are perfect.

I think Trial of Tears is now my favorite Dream Theater song.

Sound quality is OK, a bit distant and you can't hear the drums very well.
