Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

All the best for Christmas everyone - it's all over here but not for most here I imagine.

I wouldn't mind the wind dieing down somewhat though  :tdwn
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

Had a really lovely day at my parents' house. Silly amounts of food, carols round the piano, and nice presents and banter. Great day! :)

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

Heh, yea, I guess "breezy" was an understatement.  Didn't know that until I went outside.

snap shots I received from my son of my grandson playing

Are you DT grandma? Pictures of the son of your grandson?!

I'm still in Germany (where I usually go over Christmas), but damn am I ready to go home at this point. Jet lag totally did me in this time (it was darkish overcast the whole time, so my body had a hard time resetting its clock), and on top of that I got a stomach bug that had been going around in the area and after that major lower back pain from my ancient childhood bed I had to sleep in.
So yeah, I'm done. One more day here, and then I'm taking the train to the airport where I'm staying at a hotel there. Can't wait.

Christ, it's in Germany too? Me and half the people I know are battling such a thing. I had to miss out on the company Christmas gathering on Monday which would have scored me a ribeye oscar, and some awesome (by all accounts) catered Mexican food on Tuesday. Was feeling good enough for a damn fine meal yesterday (prime rib, one of my favorite things), but still feeling pretty crappy.

The word from is very important in that sentence. I suppose I could have written the sentence more carefully. How's this? Today my son sent me some snap shots of my grandson playing his drum kit. The kit was a gift from Santa Claus. Better?

Dunno. I liked my DT grandma better, so I'm gonna stick with that explanation.

I thought I had it licked a few days ago, but today my stomach was once again grumbling and misbehaving.
Thing is, I'm pretty sure I picked it up on the plane ride to Germany (planes are giant incubation centers anyway).

Grandpa? Maybe? I don't get it.

I'm so confused right now.
