Speaking of Physical Media: I Have CD's looking for a New Home
« on: January 21, 2022, 02:34:05 PM »
Hey everyone,

Spending the last couple of months with my newborn son has me recognizing the need for some serious downsizing–I have too much media that I haven't touched in years (decades?), so it's time to purge.

I just spent the past hour entering barcodes on Decluttr, and considering what they're willing to pay, I'm at the point where I'd rather just give my cd's away.

So here's what I want to do. I'd like to give away a handful of large, artist-specific batches of cd's, to someone who will enjoy them more than myself. My time is limited, so I'm not going to list all the titles, but I will post a picture of the spines.

A couple of caveats:

–please, only PM if you intend on actually adding these to your collection. Obviously, we are on the honor system here, but I'd hate to ship a box of cd's to someone who's just going to throw em up on Ebay.

–All I ask in return is $25 to cover the (ever-increasing) cost of shipping.

If interested, please PM me and we'll work out the details there. If I don't immediately respond, it's because I'm knee-deep in baby-duty.

(I apologize for the link–I can't figure out how to embed a picture into the post)

Probably should've posted this in GMD :)

I might be interested in some of the next batches (depends on the artists), but I've got pretty much all DT-related physical releases I wanted (thanks again to PetFish for that LSFNY with the original cover).

Good on you to offer this though, I appreciate the effort and the idea. :)
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Good call on the Thread:

If a Mod could move this, I'd be much obliged.

I would take them, but I already have all of those in that picture on CD, with the exception of Mind Control. So nevermind

Got a huge haul and all thanks go to WilliamMunny for making it possible. I couldn't be happier to be slowly rebuilding my music collection, one I once sold to escape this country. I will treasure this dearly.
