Oh God, such anticipation to see if James hit the F5 or not at the end of the video and it ended just seconds before  :lol Did he sing the F5?

The orchestra section gave me so many chills, though. It was absolutely beautiful  :hefdaddy

The orchestra played on FaS IT and SFaM.
It was fucking tits.
Now if you'll excuse me it's ringing deep inside my head.

BTW, I fucking better be on this DVD. I had a prime spot on the mezzanine level, and probably the only person with a blue shirt.

I'm speechless!  What a show.  The band sounded great.  James was nails...confident, and hitting the notes with conviction.

Same setlist, but just fantastic.  The video content, the lighting and stage design, the orchestra and choir were all incredible.   My prediction is "Live from the Boston Opera House" will be the 2nd best live DT DVD behind Score.

I'm inspired and content....and going to bed!  'Night all.

They did sound great.  So from IT and the SFAM encore the strings and choir played with DT.

BTW  I could see DT play BAL on every tour.  What a great song live.

I liked the cameras that were hung on a line.  Cool placements for them.

Jordan looking at his keyboard camera was hilarious.

Amazing show! Whole band was on fire. James hit absolutely everything, and everyone was playing with intensity and passion.

As others have mentioned, the Orchestra and Choir were very low in the live mix. Nevertheless, there were some great moments from them. My seats were in a position where I couldn't see the orchestra pit at all, but it seemed to me that they were playing throughout the Awake set. as well, though perhaps not used as much as some may have thought they might be. Choir didn't come on stage until Illumination Theory, and was most effective there and in Finally Free.

Highlights:
-Trail of Tears
-Enigma Machine drum solo
-Along for the Ride
-Space Dye Vest
-Illumination Theory
-The Dance of Eternity
-Finally Free. The moment when the final "This feeling inside me" explodes in with full band, orchestra, and choir was unreal.

Sound-wise it was okish I thought. The PA system was overtasked with the volume quite often, making it jarring without ear protection. The ushers all stayed outside.

Show was spectacular.  Venue more breathtaking in person. Got picture with frank solomon (before show) and eren signed my playbill (after show). Bravo eren! Orchestra played fas, il and scenes encore. Choir stood before screen on stage and elevated the songs to majestic heights. Kinda disappointed that  orchestra was hidden in pit, so only front row could see the performance. Guess we will wait for dvd to see it. Funny how this thread revived the stand v. sit debate earlier. Ive always advocated standing at rock shows but tonight would have benfitted from everyone sitting during orchestra section as the audience would have at least seen eren conducting. Glad to chat with others who traveled far (seatle, los angeles).  special tshirts commemorating tonight sold out fast, hope avail elsewhere.

This. I was totally hoping we'd get an orchestrated version of Scarred. The ending just sounds epic in my head with choir and strings.

Sounds absolutely incredible. Yes, Finally Free was made for an orchestra. I was always a little disappointed in the obviousness of their song choices with the Octavarium orchestra - it was still badass, and I know they didn't have time for more, but playing a symphonic Vacant and not following it up with a symphonic Stream of Consciousness feels like such a tease. That song would've been beautiful with an orchestra. There's something quite symphonic about it already, moreso than any of their other instrumentals - False Awakening Suite notwithstanding! Scenes from a Memory has a similar quality, and while I'm always a little split on The Dance of Eternity, The Dance of Eternity with a full orchestral complement sounds like beautiful chaos. DVD's going to be incredible - roll on 2016.

SFAM was the perfect choice, some of those melodies lend themselves so well to the symphonic treatment.

The question is, did JLB hit the money notes in IT, Scarred and The MIrror? :)

The other question is, did JLB at any point state that they were filming the show for DVD? I cannot work out why they didnt announce it officially (other than that little one line in the News section a month or two back). They made a huge deal about filming LALP. This didnt seem to be as big a deal for them  :\

Yes James did announce it plus there was a billion cameras and microphones set up everywhere.

Let's put it this way, James was convincingly spectacular the entire show!  Yes, he hit "SalVAAAtion" in IT and offered a very strong vocal performance of the Awake and SFAM commemoration segments as well.

The other question is, did JLB at any point state that they were filming the show for DVD? I agree there was not much fanfare about the filming of last night's show.  Whereas the filming of Luna Park was well advertised.

Yes James did announce it plus there was a billion cameras and microphones set up everywhere.
Early on in the first set, James clearly stated they were making a DVD of the show.  I noticed 2 camera booms, one mounted/controlled from stage left near JM and JR, the other mounted/controlled from the right aerial box (this camera often was lowered to within inches of my head 5th row JP's side   :lol)

So maybe they can get a good recording of the crowd noise this time?

So the orchestra only played for the end of the set?  THey didnt play along with anything until IT?  That stinks, i didnt expect the whole show with them (Although it would have been awesome), but I was hoping for at least the whole second set/encore.

Do we know who recorded? I hope and pray that it wasnt OtE...
According to the Playbill, the Concert Film was directed by Pierre and Fracois Lameroux. Not sure if they were in chage of the production per se, or if they are charged with filming the DVD. Either way, the film shots I was watching were breathtaking. This DVD will kill Luna Park.
