Yup they have it in stock.
Not getting a local release either, so you won't find it at at JB.

Looks like it's back to Amazon for me.  How did you find out it's not getting a local release.  I've always been curious to know that sort of stuff?  I'm guessing that's the same with Freefall.

Great to hear such positive reviews anyway.

The purchasing guy at Utopia, Mick he checked a couple weeks back and told me it wasn't getting a local release.
So he ordered it for me from their European supplier.

Check your PM.

Only got to listen to this once today, but like many I'm loving it on first listen. Hoping that continues to be the case.

So, folks, out of curiosity, what are your three early favourites from the album?

Mine - though not so early as I had a month to digest the album - are:

1. In My Universe
2. Where Have the Children Gone
3. Blood of Eden
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Since it contains the reprise of my favorite riff from the first album, Vision 13 - Stone Roses Edge, is my fave at the moment.  Followed by Vision 14 - Blood of Eden, and Vision 15 - Monster.  That's a helluva three song run.  Vision 11 is a fantastic opener too.  Grabs ya by the short and curlies right away, and doesn't let go.

Two listens in, and I'm going to have to restrain myself.  Quite certain this will be my AOTY.

Monster has the most awesome reprise, but I think the rest of the song isn't that amazing. I like how it starts though, with this heavy riff and amazing delivery by Andy.

And yeah, Vision 11 rocks and still my favourite from the album. I wasn't sure what to expect - to be honest, I was afraid this album will be nowhere near as good as Part I - then I've heard the first track and I was just blown away and convinced this is awesome.

David Gilmour is still my AOTY, but this one may well be #2 instead of The Gentle Storm.

I'm only getting into my first listen right now, but it sounds great so far. And you're right Evermind, about Vision 11even- what an opener!  :omg:

Nah, it was The Gentle Storm one for a long time. DIJAF got close to topping it, but then David Gilmour released his new album, then this new Vanden Plas got in... DIJAF is only #4 now. It's just an incredible year of music, so many brilliant releases.

I agree with you guys -  11,13,14,15 are stellar.........the rest is very good.

I agree on the first point and on In My Universe, this one is the best song from both albums for me. The Last Fight, well, I wish this tune had better chorus. It seriously drags the song down for me. Blood of Eden is indeed awesome, but I think I like Misery Affection, Soul Alliance, Inside (now that's a flawless three-song run) from the Part I, and Where Have the Children Gone from Pt II better.

Just following on from the Beyond Daylight thread, I've found a new found love for it too.  I never fully discovered it but over the last few months I've been spinning it again and it fantastic.  Phoenix has become one of my fav songs from them, that solo!  Probably my fav of the old stuff.

Just gave the new VP a spin on Spotify. I sat through the whole thing in its entirety. While the first half is outstanding, the thing loses some serious steam half way through. Not sure what happened. It was like listening to two different albums.

Can't disagree more with this. Second half is awesome.

Speaking of that, first half is awesome too.

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but damn I love this band.  Just discovered them 2 weeks ago.  I bought the debut, Christ 0 , The God Thing and Seraphic Clockwork.  I have listened to both Netherworld parts 1 and 2, but have not yet purchased.  I am having a hard time getting into these two and do not know why.

Songs I love are:

Judas, Fireroses Dance, January Sun, When the Wind Blows, Rainmaker, You Fly , Frequency, On my way to Jerusalem, Phoenix and Nightwalker

I would love for DT's next release to be as heavy as Christ 0 :metal

Don't apologise bro, that's what we come here for.

Yeah I found it quite difficult to get into the Netherworld albums too, took a lot more listens than most their other stuff.  Get Beyond Daylight next.

Now some time has passed, which Netherworld does everyone like btter.

For me, Part One wins and it's no contest really.  Part 2 is good, but just can't match the beauty and plain awesomness and epicness of Part One.

That's where I started, and it's still my favorite album of theirs. Wish You Were Here, Silently are great songs. January Sun is probably a perfect song.

I just downloaded the debut last night and it is hard to believe that  this is the first cd for this band.  Progressive monster musically and the cover art rocks.

I prefer Part II, but it's close. Both albums are ridiculously consistent throughout, but nothing on Part I is quite as good as In My Universe or Blood of Eden, which is why I prefer Part II by a hair.
