My pairing would be with a strong Ale.  I'm no Nancy drinking wine.
Me either! I'm a hearty Sam Adams guy!

Move over kids, the scotch is coming out today!

We got about 2000 peeps showing up for thanksgiving dinner tomorrow, gonna suck big time.

That must suck.  I would being a chef on Thanksgiving.  ...well, other than the pay.  :lol

My boss is actually showing up there with her family and boyfriend.  Can I tell her to ask for you?  Hook me up, bro?  :bribery:

So one of the servers came to me in the madness and said "some lady is here, says she knows you", I didn't recognize the name of course, and went back to the ass whooping. Later on, he tells me "she says you guys have a mutual friend in Bosk"....

Guess she had a good time.

I dusted this traditional gem off of course, much to the chagrin of my family. Having memorized the song back when I was in high school, I used to sing it in bars from time to time if I got good and drunk enough. Being the traditional turkey day song here in the U.S. I keep it alive in my own special way, and listen to it at least once while I'm cooking each Thanksgiving.

U.S. rock radio stations only play it on Thanksgiving day, so in case you missed it, here you go. Enjoy!

Can I just say..... what in the blue hell is up with green bean casserole? How did this abomination infest its way on to the Thanksgiving day menu??

It's the official casserole of Indiana... Hoosiers love it.  I had thanksgiving at my sisters today and she had some.  There weren't any leftovers.
In high school my buddies and I built a Van Der Graaf generator.  You know, to get girls.

Thanksgiving wasn't quite the same this year.  My brother works retail, so he wasn't able to celebrate with us.  :(

Hate that.  I work at a Wal Mart DC that ships to 108 stores in N.E. and let me tell you how damn busy it was.  Damn Black Friday.

Yeah.  Last year, his store opened at midnight, so we could still do lunch on Thanksgiving and he had time to rest before going in.

This year, he opened at 8pm, and was on the clock until 3pm the next afternoon, and given the distance he would have to drive it just didn't happen.  I hate Black Friday.

We did a few different times, a few years ago.  When businesses were opening at 5 am or 6 am, and there were actually a few things on sale that were what we were looking for.  But they way everything has changed in just the last few years has made any real monetary savings just not worth the pain in the ass.

I used to think shopping on Black Friday was really ridiculous until I noticed people actually camping out at stores the night before.  It's mindblowing what people will do to save a few bucks.

I shouldn't ridicule since I did that for concert tickets but I won't get up that early to buy something on a holiday when I can be with family.
