I am really loving this thread. Every setlist.

Especially this-
Would be awesome to see:

In the Presence of Enemies
A Mind Beside Itself
In the Name of God
Illumination Theory
-----------------
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
Octavarium
Illumination Theory

encore:
A Change of Seasons

^^^ I wouldn't complain, but damn that setlist has absolutely no balance. There are plenty of shorter songs better than those epics

If they actually played this setlist one day, i would travel to Saint Petersburg, Stockholm and Oslo just to see it 4 times. Fourth being Helsinki of course.

That's a "Shut up and take my money setlist"  :lol

Pretty much how every setlist should be.. No BS just freaking play the freaking best songs that you know we all want to hear!  :lol pretty much why the ADTOE setlists were so damn good aside from TSCO

I'm not sure I'm 100% serious about this, but in some ways I just want one climax after another.

I doubt that they are going to abandon On the Backs of Angels so soon, they usually keep the singles in the setlists for awhile.

YOU ARE A GOD!

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Great setlist, especially Lines in the Sand and Trial of Tears in the same list.  Substitute Blind Faith(love the drums) for Misunderstood and add Surrounded and that would be a dream setlist for me.

There's a serious lack of I&W... Replace Panic Attack with Take the Time (and one of the new songs with Behind the Veil) and you have a solid setlist.

There are 4 songs I can 100% guarantee will be played at every gig this tour:

On The Backs Of Angels
False Awakening Suite
The Enemy Inside
Illumination Theory

Other than that, I'm hoping DT would pick some really unexpected gems!

Ok this is one of my favorites. My friend and I came up with it. Almost exactly 3 hours too, depending on how you count FAS. So add in space between songs, talking, little instrumental introductions/improvs and you might get like 3:10.

False Awakening Suite
The Enemy Inside
Take The Time
-
Blind Faith
The Bigger Picture/
Through My Words/
Fatal Tragedy
Behind The Veil
- (announce Awake anniversary)
The Mirror/
Lie
Scarred
Space Dye Vest

----

(SFAM anniversary intro tape)
Regression
Overture 1928
Strange Deja Vu
Forsaken
The Looking Glass
Enigma Machine
The Answer Lies Within
Vacant
The Killing Hand
Surrender To Reason
Along For The Ride
Illumination Theory

The Shattered Fortress
On The Backs Of Angels

I would take that list.  Would love to see some version of  The Shattered Fortress.  Not many folks around here like TSF, but I think it would kick some major ass live.

Shuffle it around a tad and I'd take it. I'd kinda like to see Killing Hand and TSF switched though :JayOctavarium:

TKH would work much better in an encore, although I can think of better songs to go in it's place. Either way, TSF would work after Vacant very well because they share the same key of C#m.
