Ok this one is great too. I'd LOVE to see this-

False Awakening Suite
The Enemy Inside
The Looking Glass
The Great Debate/
On The Backs of Angels
Enigma Machine
The Bigger Picture
Behind The Veil/
In The Presence of Enemies 1 and 2

Surrender To Reason
The Ones Who Helped To Set The Sun
Lost Not Forgotten
The Mirror/
Bridges in the Sky (starts with main riff straight out of TM)
Vacant
Along For the Ride
Illumination Theory

Easter Egg/
Finally Free

Take The Time

Fixed it with a bit from Gasper

Also too bad I doubt TGD will get pulled out again despite how much I love the song... It was so awesome live!
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

The Looking Glass
---JLB awkward speech---
Honor Thy Father
Misunderstood
Behind The Veil/
In The Presence of Enemies 1
Wither
Hell's Kitchen/
Keyboard Solo/
Lines in the Sand
The Bigger Picture

The Glass Prison
Surrender To Reason
The Ones Who Help To Set The Sun
Enigma Machine/
The Mirror/
The Mirror Reprise
Space-Dye Vest
Along For the Ride
Illumination Theory

you're not gonna believe this, but I actually meant for the Easter Egg to be right before FF in the encore. I forgot to write it and you guys reminded me!  :lol So that'd be perfect. Also my set was 2:56 will just the songs and no talking, so that's probably perfect length.

And I like that set too Gasper! I'd love to see M, HTF, SDV, TGP, HK, and LITS, but there's no way I'd take out ITPOE (one of DT's very best songs ever). Especially if you're gonna include Wither which is probably one of the only two DT songs I don't care to see particularly. However, I might take TGD, OTBOA, and BITS interchangeably with your other choices.

I decided to create a pair of setlists that are mostly similar, but have a few songs swapped between them, like they did on the ADTOE tour. Each one has 7 out of 9 songs from the new album. Each one also has a three-song anniversary spot for Awake in one set, and SFAM in the other, both equalling about 25 minutes from each album. Each set is about 2 h 50 m.

Set A / Set B (obviously where there is no backslash, is a common song between the two sets)

1. False Awakening Suite (intro tape)
2. The Enemy Inside
3. Afterlife / Under a Glass Moon
4. Surrender to Reason / The Looking Glass
5. Misunderstood

---Awake/SFAM Anniversary---
6. Voices / Strange Deja Vu
7. Lifting Shadows Off a Dream/  Beyond This Life
8. Space-Dye Vest / The Dance of Eternity

9. Enigma Machine
10. The Count of Tuscany

---intermission---

11. As I Am
12. Hell's Kitchen
13. Lines in the Sand
14. Along for the Ride / Behind the Veil
15. Lost Not Forgotten
16. The Bigger Picture
17. Sacrificed Sons / The Killing Hand
18. Illumination Theory

---encore---
19. Take the Time

Ok, let's say that I'm not a fan but a dt member. The tour will be an evening with... And an intermission around 15 minutes and each part of the set will be one hour and a half. The part1 will be the whole new album plus songs until S.F.A.M. And the part two the rest plus a encore, so:

First part

dream theater self titled album entire
A fortune in lies
Under a glass moon
Scarred
Peruvian skies
Home

Second part

Glass prison
As I am
Walk besides you
Forsaken
A nightmare to remember
Outcry

Encore
On the backs of angels
Metropolis pt1

Extreme and a huge dream to see live the ACOS song,

See you in London, I'll come for this from Greece!!

Both great sets. I'd take either. I think maybe Pason_Ytsejam's is slightly better if I had to choose, but I'm not sure. Turn OTBOA and M into one of the epic ACOS, TCOT, 8vm, or ITPOE and I wouldn't even think twice.

Set A/B

1. False Awakening
2. Enemy Inside
3. Peruvian Skies
4. As I Am
5. Lifting Shadows Of A Dream
6. Lie
7. Space Dye Vest
8. Looking Glass/ Surrender To Reason
9. Enigma Machine
10. The Count/ Nightmare To Remember

11. Overture 1928
12. Strange Deja Vu
13. Beyond This Life/ Dance Of Eternity
14. This Is The Life
15. In The Presence Of Enemies Pt. 1/Pt. 2
16. The Great Debate/ Glass Prison
17. Illumination Theory
Easter Egg (encore intro)
18. A Change Of Seasons

I tried to get alot of albums included but with the Awake and Scenes anniversary and knowing they are going to play alot of the new album it was hard to do so. I would assume they are doing two legs so I give it another try latter.

The more I think about it, the more I think there is a good chance that The Count of Tuscany is a mainstay on this tour, possibly as the encore.  I could be way off, but it's just a hunch.

Possibly not on the European Leg though, seeing as it was played at every show on the 2011 summer tour.

I'd be a little bit bummed if they played Take the Time and Voices even though I love both songs, since they played them both the first (of the two) times I've seen them before. I wouldn't mind, but I'm still desperate to see them play at least one of my top 3 songs (LTL, Metropolis, 8VM). Unfortunately I don't think there's much hope for LTL or Metropolis, seems likely that it will be TTT from I&W if they only play one track from it. Though I also thought they were going to play the whole of the new album each night, but that seems unlikely from what MM said in a recent interview.

The other three would be great though, especially ITNOG. :metal

Yea they played TTT and Voices often on the last few MP tours so I would hope they skip those. If they do TTT hopefully its the full version.

Does anyone else thing that we might not see "A Change Of Seasons" played live in its entirety again considering how closely it is associated with MP?

I don't think they'll play it, but that's just because it's a really long song, not anything to do with MP. They've played parts of the 12SS, so I don't think it would be an issue. The only DT song that I see being too personal to play is TBOT, and I wouldn't have considered that a likely setlist choice regardless of that anyway.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Well, I don't say no to see ACOS. I think it's one of DT's signature epic, MP may write it but it's simply DT's song and while TBOT is kind of his last piece with DT and never been played live I hope they keep it that way.

Other than that, I believe we can see Finally Free, The Glass Prison, Voices, The Mirror/Lie, Trial Of Tears. And I hope they'll play Take Away My Pain, Disappear and In Presence Of Enemies Pt2.

Right, but just the plain idea of James hitting an F5 beats it JUST for a live setting. I could NOT pass up IT in the live setting even though I don't like it as much compositionally.

Right, but just the plain idea of James hitting an F5 beats it JUST for a live setting. I could NOT pass up IT in the live setting even though I don't like it as much compositionally.
I'd much prefer LTL or 8VM satisfying this need.

LTL maybe, but for a different thing because that's just a held out note on "whooaaa". 8vm, seeing a scream is 2nd most entertaining to a note for me. I loved the screams at the end of BMUBMD or in 6:00, but they're still inferior to a specific melody. In IT it's a full phrase with many notes, one of which is an F5- something that hasn't been done as a constant on a tour since I&W. Innocence Faded, however, would also satisfy this thirst.

Some of these setlists contain more than one instrumental and there is no way that is happening.  I think Enigma Machine is likely to be played, nixing all the other instrumentals for this tour.

The tour schedule is pretty merciless considering this tour is "an evening with DT", so I wouldn't be surprised if they included more than one instrumental for the sake of James' voice.
