Was that in 2011 when that came up? Well this tour is evening with so I think it would work much better now.
But in my opinion the only good types of medleys are the ones that just use snippets of a whole load of songs, but they fit together like one. And all the other songs during the night have to be entirely unedited like everything was on the Dramatic Tour. I CAN'T STAND those types of medleys like Queen did when you hear 75% of like 4 songs with awkward transitions. So Instrumedley is really the only good DT medley.
Yeah I mentioned the idea of a second Instrumedley in 2011, so I guess there is more of a possibility of it happening now (plus having a ton of time to think over what instrumental sections could be cleverly pieced together) - good point! And I agree about medleys that consist of awkward transitions - Schmedley Wilcox was a bit awkward IMO altho I got used to it over time. But yeah, the original Instrumedley was probably their best one, altho I'd say that Caught in a New Millennium was also well done, if you would consider that a medley.
As for the idea of them doing SFaM for one of the sets, honestly, I hate the idea, and that's considering that it's one of my top 3 DT albums! The only exception I could see is if they were to change up the songs as they did when they performed WDaDU in LA in 2004. If they would play it as the album, pass - I can listen to the full album in the comfort of my home if that be the case, be it on SFaM or LSFNY. I'd rather get a setlist of material spanning all their albums (WDaDU and BCaSL included). As an alternate idea, I'd rather see them resurrect the original version of Metropolis part II and perform that on occasion - that IMO would be a really cool and unique way to celebrate the anniversary of SFaM without requiring a whole set to be taken up by that album's material.
