I thought we had a "song wishlist" thread, but I couldn't find it ??? Anyway, I'd love to see the following bunch of songs:

Scarred
LTL
ACOS
Eve
Space-Dye Vest

That would be amazing!  :metal

I can say that Scarred, LTL and Space-Dye Vest are also on my TOP 5.

Breaking all Illusions and Trial of Tears would be cool. Music with Myung lyrics = greatness.  :corn
"Likely or not, it's a dream that we keep
and at odds with our senses we'll climb
But if faith is the answer, we've already reached it
And if spirit's a sign then it's only a matter of time."

At about 21:00 in this interview, JLB reveals he'd like to play/wouldn't mind playing Trial of Tears, Scarred, possibly Take the Time, Blind Faith, and Octavarium on the upcoming tour. Fingers crossed all of those are included in the setlists!

FTFM.

However, that would be a lot of epics and I wonder if there's room for all of them in the setlist.

After asking JP tonight, I'd put money on there being a few special shows next year at which they play SFAM.

Seriously???

Wow, if they happen to perform it in LA, I wouldn't be able to control myself.

Well they hadn't thought about the anniversary, but seemed very open to, even enthused by, the idea of playing the album - 'it was the most obvious thing to do'. JP said he'd love to see what MM could do with it.

That's great news. Hopefully we get a few shows with SFAM.

Did you also mention the idea of them doing something for the 20th anniversary of "Awake"?

No, I didn't get a chance. I think that's less likely to be honest, considering they'd have to do full band SDV.

Set 1

Scenes From A Memory

Set 2

Dream Theater

Encore

Pull Me Under
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

but Awake would be SO much more incredible. Plus they've already done Scenes live quite a few times before.

It's possible they might do it, but don't bank on it, especially since their focus is gonna be on the new album. Back in Dec of 2011, I mentioned the idea of doing a second Instrumedley to him and he seemed pretty into the idea. Needless to say, it never happened. So it's quite possible that while he was showing interest in your idea, that may be as far as it goes.
As a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

Was that in 2011 when that came up? Well this tour is evening with so I think it would work much better now.

But in my opinion the only good types of medleys are the ones that just use snippets of a whole load of songs, but they fit together like one. And all the other songs during the night have to be entirely unedited like everything was on the Dramatic Tour. I CAN'T STAND those types of medleys like Queen did when you hear 75% of like 4 songs with awkward transitions. So Instrumedley is really the only good DT medley.

Since this tour i will be only attending 1 concert, the probability to see SFAM will be very low.

Thinking of it, if they really pull SFAM, would it not be the perfect trigger to relaunch ytsejamrecords?

Encore: Great (but you could replace it with ACOS or LTL and still :caffeine:)

It's just about exactly 3 hours right? They totally should do this with SFAM and Awake. Of course it'd probably disappoint a few people who wanted a night of everything  :lol but maybe they could advertise a few nights this way so it's no surprise!
