I'm hoping for one or more of The Mirror (& Lie), Blind Faith, The Glass Prison, Octavarium

That would be amazing!

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

They should bring Eve back.

I would LOVE Scarred and Finally Free!! Absolutely anything from Awake as long as it's not edited and it should not be 6:00 or CIAW just because they did those last tour.

I believe that the main obstacle for Eve is that the song hasn't been played in 15 years, and has since been probably semi-forgotten by the band, not a particular obstacle like with ACOS, that's too long or SDV, that's supposedly too personal.

Maybe then a valid question for the M&G. But i don't think i'll hear it live again. :'(

That's what I thought at first when I saw it was acoustic. Behind the Veil turns out to be a balls to the wall, all out aural assault.

I was just making a guess, as with all the other songs. I imagined what I thought they might feel like and that's how I placed them where I did.

I always thought the version of RTK from the FII demos was pretty good, but since I listened to Score for the first time about a month ago I can't get enough of the song.

The song I would love to hear is the Shattered Fortress simply because it rocks and I love the keyboard solo.  Since I know they will never play it(not sure they ever played TSF), I would settle for Lines in the Sand.

1) Blind Faith would be great, because CIM's version isn't good for such a wonderful song.

2) I really want to see Lifting Shadows Off A Dream...love that song!

3) Trial Of Tears (even though the Budokan's version is very nice, I want to see Mangini playing this one!)

4) And Home (because the last time I saw videos of it on youtube, MP always speeds up the song...I don't like that  :yeahright)

Luckily it's probable that we'll only get full songs :) Besides, I bet the band would rather play the new instrumental in full than a snippet of it.

These Walls is very unlikely due to the fact that it was played on the ADTOE tour, but we'll see about the rest...

So on the upcoming tour I think we can safely assume that at least ONE song from Images and Words will be played. Now, I was thinking that the only song from IAW that didnt get played on the Dramatic Tour was Take The Time. So could we see it this time around?

That's my line of thought too! But with a caveat: Metropolis is too big, beloved and anthemic song for the band to leave it completely out of the picture for an entire tour cycle (so far it only happened once, in 2002). Plus, the song was played only a handful of times in Europe, and never during the main tour in promotion of ADTOE. I would say it's not unlikely for it to make an appearance in the early stages of the tour.

The other two songs that got a small stage time last time (and generally in the last 7 years) are LTL and Another Day. They could make a return, but I don't see that happening for the only reason that songs as vocally challanging as they are may not be a great idea to preserve James's voice intact for a full world tour of 2,5/3h shows.

So, Take The Time is the most reasonable option, yes.

Actually this made me think: DT are going to play long shows and there may be even 3 or 4 dates in a row with no off-dates in between, so I wonder if they'll play some song(s) in a lower key or tuning for the sake of James' voice...
