Just discovered this band called Coma Wall:

I love the dark sound and harmonies of it. I'm wondering are there any other bands in this "dark acoustic" style, similar to AIC's "Sap" EP? I've read that it's called "doom folk".

Empyrium is a prime example of doom folk though I don't know if you'll dig the harsh vocals or not.

Listening to the first Coma Wall song and it reminds me an acoustic Alice In Chains.

Ancient VVisdom sound pretty good, I'd like it better without the distortion.

Sometimes I have the impression some metal bands get created solely so that they can create a new niche

I gotta say though I'm digging this Come Wall. Sitting through the whole album is hard but I really enjoy a song here and there.

Yea it sounds like acoustic AIC, but it's female! I love that spooky female harmony style. Any other bands like that?
