You can see the lineage ;D

It's inoffensive enough. It reminds me of the stuff i'd write when I was first learning guitar. Although I still can't sing. :lol

I'd be mega-embarrassed singing with my Dad there listening. ;D

Obviously very talented but...god, am I going to be the only one to say it?  Leave the vocals to someone else.

Or maybe thats the style nowadays...I can never tell :/

You might be on to something with that statement.  Although, his vocals could use a little more practice and all.  Piano playing and lyrics, in Boston, are all right.  The mood set is pretty defined here in both songs.  I think he's got a Matt Nathanson vibe here (I don't think you guys know who he is, though I would be a bit surprised if you do.) which I like.

I actually liked the vocals myself. They seem to use pronunciation closer to that of actual speech, which is often utilized in folkier music, especially talky ones, but I like that he applied that to melody while still having a bit of a talky vibe at parts in Boston. Talent definitely runs in the family!

The vocals definitely had that singer songwriter affectation that people seem to have nowadays.

I didn't like that style of talky vocals at all, but it's obviously a stylistic choice, and the pitch was fine.
I actually didn't listen past the vocals. That style put me off instantly. But it's nice to see another Petrucci making music!
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.
