Serious question: Are they all actually good?

i hope you aren't talking about Frank Zappa albums.

I am. I'm really not familiar with his material.

they are among some of the most unique and most musically pleasing albums i have ever listened to. you should really check him out.

I'd steer clear of 'Thing-Fish' :lol  And get Yellow Shark if only for the awesome rendition of G-Spot Tornado.  Hot.

Trivium, Scale the Summit, Primus, Behemoth, Avantasia

Challenged.

Also, I think I could go for Avenged Sevenfold and maybe Coldplay too.

quoted for emphasis, as I was the last on page 5.

Just among each other. When it's a hard thing to see someone live, chances are the one with the most live expierences of the band/artist, wins. Or when it's cool to have a big collection, that wins.

K, didn't actually know if there was some sort of ritual or protocol we had to follow, or prayer we had to udder at the alter of Bosk1.

I would challenge for Trivium.
Joe and I in the same squad is basically the virtual equivalent of us plowing a rape van through an elementary school playground at recess.

Here on DTF, I am hands-down THE biggest fan of Boards of Canada on the forums.

I don't even need to look around to know I'm right.

Quote from: axeman90210
Mr. Neccy, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Honestly, I know it's close, but if Transatlantic had a few more albums at the level of quality of the first two they'd be my favorite band. Bridge Across Forever is my 3rd or 4th favorite album of all time and I love the style of prog that they carved out. There is really no way to really know of course, but in my eyes no one can love them much more than I do. :)

  • Transform and rock out!
Speedway Boulevard
Steelheart
Skid Row
David Lee Roth
Arch Enemy?
Winter Rose
Roxy Blue (many people liked it before me, but they only have one album, so I think I can compete on this one on whatever terms we set)

There are many others that I just wouldn't be able to beat the oldies for unfortunately, like Ozzy, KISS, Whitesnake etc :sadpanda:
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.

I think I can copy your story and put it in my Biography.

If TA had 2 more albums they'd be my favourite band, no doubt about it. And indeed BaF is one of my favourite albums of all time.
Methinks highfive on the love for Transatlantic

I'm the biggest Metallica fan here, I'm willing to challenge Dimi. And I'm also the biggest All That Remains fan on here too. I've been a fan since the This Darkened Heart days, I even saw them live back then. I win.

interesting all the people who claim to be such huge fans of dredg don't claim to

a) read and post on Traversing

b) having attended the 2 special full-album shows in Santa Cruz, CA in 2006.

I read traversing every day but I don't post often,

I wasn't a fan of them back in 06 although I totally would have been there if I could, alas all I have are the DVD's
