Woohoo! My 3rd DTF theme! When I joined, it was the BC&SL theme, then we had the ADTOE theme for 2 years, and now this rather awesome one! Great job, Mr. Theme Designer!  :tup

Just to remind everyone:

There are two new themes for this album cycle, light and dark. The forum default is dark, based on the album cover, but there is also  a light DT12 theme based on other album artwork.

And of course the light and dark themes from ADTOE and BC&SL still exist, plus a couple of core SMF themes which are really boring but which I set for myself during the week when I'm at work.

I'm using the dark theme.

I'm torn, because I really love the artwork used for the light theme, but hate the color options. I wish there was the billboard w/ dark theme.

This actually, I really like both so much, but I don't want to have to change the lighter theme at night, just to much of a hassle.

The dark theme looks really cool, but I can't ever use them for long. The light theme is really great, I think I'll be using that one for a while.

Funny you should say that.  I actually asked XJ to make a chocolate cake theme, but none has materialized thus far.  :lol

I like the theme, but a major problem for me is that the "unread posts" selection is now aligned right, and it's a lot less accessible and annoying to find. But that's nitpicking I suppose.

I love the new theme, I was tiring of the dark theme, and while I prefer the blackened (NUG) tones at night, the LED strip in my new rig helps balance it out so it's not so bright, and the blue tones help keep it not so blinding. All in all I think I like this theme a bit more if only for a change, so for now this is my default.  :tup :tup :metal

Light to dark, dark to light, light to dark, dark to light...

I prefer the light. Maybe it's because I'm used to it, or maybe ADTOE just had much better artwork.

E: Once again, I talk about something I have no idea about  :lol.

So. I returned to Dramatic Turnings, because I like it the best. Of these new skins, light is maybe a bit better.

My eyes still need to get used to it. My biggest gripe is that the pages look a bit messy because lines separating the posts just blend in too much with the background whereas the white lines encompassing the actual posts are too bright and distracting.

Steam forums came to mind, which has a similar dark tone and color scheme, but it's a lot clearer and a lot less taxing on the eyes. https://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2010521

1. I like the new theme.

2. Hey, I didn't know you could actually change it! You learn somthing new every day. I find the new theme too dark for my eyesight, and coz I tend to go online when I should be working, I've changed to the Silver Linings theme - more SFW.

Dark. The light version is pretty similar to the ADTOE one and it's a good thing that subsequent posts have slightly different background colors, easier to distinguish between them. In the dark version, everything mashes together.

I'd been on the BTS theme for so long, the new 'dark' one was barely a transition at all.  I tried the light one, but I don't really feel like training my eyes to get used to the change.
