When he's done using our themes, I lol picks one and you get to guess who's it was.  That would be fair.

As for this rounds theme, I'm guessing the biggest wuss bag here.

I figured it was almost too obvious, and almost second guessed myself.

TAKE THIS!

ROUND 8 RESULTS!

Onno: Diablo Swing Orchestra - Vodka

I enjoy the wackiness of Diablo Swing Orchestra but I just can't get into them as a band. It seems a little too wacky for me and this is coming from a person who likes Mr. Bungle. I'm not the biggest fan of the vocals but the instrumentation was quite good. Sadly, the song didn't do too much for me.

5/10

Dr. DTVT: Strapping Young Lad - Love?

Damn,Devin's vocals are really badass on this. I also liked the riff quite a lot. The chorus was also really awesome and it stuck with me for the next couple of days. Also, the lyrics are hilarious. :lol Now,I need more SYL.

9/10

Senecadawg2: Gotye - Hearts A Mess

This was ok. It didn't really stick but I enjoyed what I heard. I also liked the art direction he took with the video. But the song itself didn't grab my interest for too long. I did however enjoy the trip hop elements in his music but that's about it.

6/10

BUT WAIT! YOU GUESSED THE PERSON WHO PICKED THE THEME CORRECTLY! HAVE A BONUS POINT!

7/10

Morawintersoul: The Gathering - The May Song

This was a really nice song. But honestly,Anneke stole the show. Her voice is just fucking perfect. But,I also quite liked the song itself. The instrumentation was really nice and the keyboard was a quite cool touch. Sounds very 70s prog. If the rest of the band's discography is like this,I'm sold! Sadly,Onno didn't pick the theme. So no 10/10 for you. Sorry...

9/10

Ruba: Nightwish - Ghost Love Score

Oh man I've heard this before. The intro at least. Speaking of the intro,it's freaking cool. But sadly, the rest of the song didn't catch me as much but there was a calm section somewhere around the 4 minute mark which was really cool. It's just that the "epic" sounds a little too…*flameshield* forced and generic. I liked the orchestral elements a lot but the rest of the song was pretty generic and dragged… Also, your guess for the person who picked the theme was wrong. Sorry…

5.5/10

Rattlehead: Buffalo Springfield - Expecting To Fly

Yeah, this was Neil Young's very short lived first band. I think they were around for like 2 years. So yeah, not a lot. Their sound is kinda like a bluesy folk rock band from the 60s. I enjoy their music but just never became a fan. I enjoyed this song but there are way better Buffalo Springfield songs in my opinion at least. This was still a good song. And no,it wasn't Nekov.

7/10

Zantera: Kimbra - Cameo Lover

This is pretty catch but not in the good way. :lol It was stuck in my head for the next 5 days. It's not bad or anything,in fact it's decent but it really lost me when It stuck in my head. I hope you understand what I mean. :rollin  Anyways, this was okay. I listened to it way more than I should have, but that's kinda proof that the song grabbed me… Ah fuck it. Gonna keep the score high thanks to the catchiness.

8/10

Elite: Beardfish - Tightrope

This sounds a lot like Caravan. And I love that. The instrumentation is awesome and the vocals are really nice. Wow,this was really awesome!

9/10

Jingle.Boy: Meat Loaf - For Crying Out Loud

This didn't do anything for me. The orchestra-ish instrumentation is nice and all but the song just sounded very "meh" to me. It didn't leave any impression on me. Sure, the lyrics are nice and the vocal delivery is pretty neat but the song just dragged on and on. 9 minutes of this is just a little too much…

4/10

LieLowTheWantedMan: The Smiths - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out

Here's a band that I can never "get". Much like Joy Division and The Cure. The vocals are pretty average and the song just isn't anything special. It's better than most of The Smiths songs I've heard but still, nothing special.

5/10

Scorpion: Buckethead - Watching The Boats With My Dad

This was really beautiful. I can never get into Buckethead thanks to him having like 4523453453453848382838484 albums. (May not be the actual number.) But I've always liked his work here and there, this is no exception. The song had a really nice and relaxing vibe which grabbed me from the first second. The rest of the song didn't have too much variety but didn't really need it anyways. It is what it is and does what is does. It's beauty.

8/10

Nekov: Florence and the Machine - Heartlines

Bleh. I've never been a fan of this band. I bought Ceremonials on Day 1 cause why not? Came home, and I only dug the first 4 tracks. The rest always bored me. This is the 9th track on the album. I've  heard this many times before but I've probably listened to it like 2 times. The vocals are okay and the lyrics are nice but it's just that the song is…well, boring to me. Sorry but I just can never get into this band. BUT your guess was correct…

3+1=4/10

?:Amorphis - House Of Sleep

Wow… I've only heard Thousand Lakes so far but this is much different… The riff is really cool and the song is some of the catchiest metal I've heard since Labrie's solo work. The short keyboard solo is also wicked cool. That being said, the melodeath Amorphis is what I prefer. Bu still, this was pretty nice. AND YES. IT WAS HIM/HER.

8+1=9/10

Now,who the heck picked this theme? To be honest with you,I'm surprised not many got it right… THE LADY GOD DANGIT! THE LADY! I MEAN WTF WHY WOULD A GUY GO FOR SOMETHING ROMANTIC?!?!?!?!? :rollin

NEXT TIME ON LOLZEEZ'S ROULETTE! (v2)

Well ladies and gents,YOU are gonna pick the themes. On my previous roulette, each participant chose a theme for the one who's above them on the standings. This time,I decided to use this site with a random picking generator thingy. BUT due to the number of contestants being 13,there has to be one contestant with no theme! I'm gonna go with Onno who's in last place to be fair. So Onno can send ANYTHING he wants! So,these are the results.

MoraWintersoul choosing for Zantera
? choosing for Ruba
Zantera choosing for Dr. DTVT
Senecadawg choosing for ?
Elite choosing for Rattlehead
Rattlehead choosing for LieLowTheWantedMan
LieLowTheWantedMan choosing for Scorpion
Dr. DTVT choosing for Jingle.Boy
Scorpion choosing for Senecadawg2
Jingle.Boy choosing for Elite
Nekov choosing for MoraWintersoul
Ruba choosing for Nekov
Onno's theme - Open Round!

Also, here are all the themes that were sent in by you guys:

Zantera - Song with creepy children vocals
Ruba - A Cover Song
? - Great Guitar Melodies
Onno - classical/jazz/blues/electronic
Elite - Send any song by a band that has been used in this roulette before, but didn't qualify as a 'discovery'.
LieLowTheWantedMan - Weird songs
Senecadawg2 - Songs In A Language That's not English (no instrumentals)
Rattlehead - Cello
Nekov - Female Vocals
Dr. DTVT - Cover songs
Scorpion - harpsichord :lol
MoraWintersoul - Love Songs
Jingle.Boy - 80s Music That Doesn't Suck

I could still use these for the finals so don't think that Scorpion's theme will never be used. :rollin

I was prepared to get slaughtered even though Kimbra is one of my favorite artists, because it's not exactly music you relate to DTF.  Glad I got an 8 though!

So just so I understand.. I'm picking for Dr.DTVT, does that mean I can pick any of the themes posted by any of the members, or does that mean he gets the theme I went with earlier that is already posted? :P

Cool that I picked correctly again. Also cool that you didn't like Gotye as much as I do  :P

So, Scorpion, do I have to send a song with harpsichord?

And you said the top 5 will go on to the finals? Once we get to the finals will the scores be removed and go on to eliminating one contestant per round?
