RESULTS!!!Senecadawg2: Dir En Grey - VinushkaOne of my friends is really into this band. So I'm somewhat familiar with them but never gave them a real chance. Anyways, the song had a really nice intro. It sounds like some post metal song. And somewhere around the 4 minute mark… Shit… This song explodes. I'm not a huge fan of the vocals although the song is pretty damn good. The song slows down later…only to go heavy again. This is actually quite good. I probably should have given this more than 5 listens but eh,that's the number of listens I give every song. Thanks for the song though!

Zantera: Jane's Addiction - Three DaysI've heard some Jane's Addiction but never been too huge on them. I bought Ritual De Lo Habitual but I haven't given it a good listen yet. Now after this,I have to. This was freaking awesome. It's quite proggy without being wankery or lost. This song was freaking excellent. The vocals were nice, the instrumentation was great and this was just an AWESOME song. Thanks dude!
9.5/10
Jingle.Boy: Frost* - Dear Dead DaysI've heard of this band before but never really listened. This was some very cool prog rock. I really dug on the vocals and the freaking cool intro. The song has a pretty damn catchy chorus and the song is just solid. I should have listened to these guys before…

Onno: OSI - OSII only heard Blood from OSI and quite enjoyed it. I don't know why I never even dug deeper since I quite liked Blood. The song starts out pretty heavy with a really cool riff. Kevin's voice is really fitting. But one thing that I found unnecessary was… the electronic "sounds" that keep occurring during the song. It's still a pretty nice and fun song. If KM is good at one thing,It's writing good and catchy songs.
8/10
Ruba: Ministry - The Land Of Rape And HoneyThat's one weird land. Anyways,I've never been too into industrial music to begin with. The song didn't really grab me. Sure it has a nice groove but it got boring after the first minute and the rest just DRAGGED. I guess industrial just isn't my cup of coffee.
4/10
Elite: Karnivool - We AreI just recently got this album. My biggest problem with it is that it drags too long as an album. But song by song, the album is really solid. This song was one of my favorites on the album so nice pick!
The music video is also pretty darn nice. I usually don't care for music videos but yeah, this was a really good one. Anyways this is a pretty good alt/prog rock song. I just can't get too into the album since it just DRAGS…
9/10
LieLowTheWantedMan: The Pineapple Thief - SnowdropsTrains from PT is like the song of summer. This was the complete opposite. This obviously isn't as good as Trains. But still,It's a really good cousin track. The vocals are very Steven Wilsonesque which I quite liked. The song is a little dreamier and slower than Trains and has a completely different mood. It was quite good but didn't wow me.
8/10
Rattlehead: He Is Legend - China WhiteIt's a Post Hardcore song. It was quite good but I didn't like the vocalist's screams. They were more like Metalcore than Post Hardcore which I'm not the biggest fan of. It's a decent song but just didn't satisfy me too much.
7/10
MoraWintersoul: Ulver - Like MusicSO THIS SONG WAS FROM ULVER. THE MORE YOU FUCKING KNOW. My local record store's owner always keeps playing this one song. I never got into Ulver cause I thought It'd be like…I don't know I thought It would be something like Summoning. If there is more stuff like this,I'm gonna dig in so freaking bad cause this song creates an ambience that no other song I've heard in so long. This is freaking amazing.

No disappointments for you sister
Dr. DTVT: The Dear Hunter - What It Means To MeThat was a really cool video! Anyways,Casey's vocals are quite nice. But the song didn't really stand out too much to me. Sure,it had some really nice vocals and simple but effective instrumentation, but it kinda got worse listen after listen. I don't know why. Whatever, this was pretty decent.
6.5/10
Scorpion: Cat Empire - FishiesThis was some ska/acid jazz. It was okay but I just can't really "listen" this stuff. It just fades in the background. It was okay but after just 2 listens,I was burnt out and just couldn't listen anymore.
5/10
?: Slowdive - Catch The BreezeOh man. How the heck have I never listened to this before? Sounds more dream pop than Shoegaze but still,It's pretty similar to My Bloody Valentine. Even though It's not as good as When You Sleep, this is some good Shoegaze. Thanks dude for sending this song. Now I'm leaving to buy this album.
9/10
Nekov: P'Cock - The Actore FunThis was some really good prog. It sounded like Eloy with ELP. I don't care for Eloy but ELP is one of my favs from the 70s. It was pretty good but I can't find any of their albums here OR on the net.. That kinda sucks, cause I bet these guys have done better stuff than this.

So that gives us a 3 way tie! The lady won't give up and will probably catch up next round for a 4 way tie.
Anyways, after everyone sending their theme,I wrote them down and pulled them out a hat. The winner was... 80s music that doesn't suck. So,for round 6 send me something from the 1980s that doesn't suck. ALSO,if you guess the person who sent this theme right, you'll get 1 bonus point. And no,the person who sent the theme won't get any bonus point. Sorry Mr. personthatsenttheme.
Deadline: This friday.
Now bring it on!
