I found that a bit bizarre when I was watching the movie, (as with all the actors cast as Presidents. Robin Williams as Eisenhower?! John Cusack as Nixon?!!) but he was alright

That was actually pretty early in the film, when he pretends to be someone who works in the building who's managed to get away from the bad guys.  When Willis figures it out, he drops the accent, and it's weird for a minute because you get used to hearing it.
