September 2013: The Month of Dream Theater
« on: August 19, 2013, 08:14:19 AM »
There are so many DT related things going on or coming out in the month of September, and I was curious as to which things DTFers will be doing or picking up.

Buying the album is the only thing I'm entirely sure of.

Apparently my "4 votes per person" didn't take in the poll options and I can't seem to change it. Can a mod/admin help with that? For now, vote for your most anticipated Dream Theater related event in September I guess  :lol

Well, I pre-ordered the updated version of Lifting Shadows, and then I'll get the CD.

I'm getting the album of course, and thinking about getting the book. I'm not really interested in seeing LALP in theatres (even if there was one near me I wouldn't go) and I don't care for vinyl, so no interest in either of those.

Yep, September 3 (on Amazon USA anyways). It's kind of pricey there, at nearly $35, but here is the link - https://www.amazon.com/Octavarium-Gram-2xLP-Dream-Theater/dp/B00DZFM9WY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1376922394&sr=8-2&keywords=octavarium.

I will be doing everything on my poll. I have the box set of the new album preordered, the Octavarium vinyl preordered, Lifting Shadows preordered, and tickets bought for LALP at a nearby theater  :metal

Should any LALP showing pop somewhere I can reach without having to swim I would attend. And of course I preordered Lifting Shadows and I'm getting the CD.

Yeah, me too.

Shouldn't I be able to select more than one item when voting?

But this time I think it'd be better if I swim...

For sure I'm getting the album, and hopefully Lifting Shadows as well.

I'll be getting the new album for sure!!

I don't have a record player so the vinyl release doesn't mean much to me, unfortunately, I'd love to get a record player... Maybe I will, who knows?

I haven't pre-ordered Lifting Shadows yet, but I plan to or at least get it when it is released.

Probably won't be able to go to the theater to see the film, unless one gets added that is closer to home for me.

I would have been seeing LALP if there was a showing in Houston.

The fact that it isn't showing in Houston makes me want to

I'll be buying the new album, I have the Octavarium LP on pre-order, and I will go see Luna Park if it ends up showing anywhere around here (nothing yet).

I'll definitely be doing all 4, IF LALP showings happen to be anywhere in my area. Hopefully they will.

Only the first three for me I'm afraid. I would have to get on a plane and travel 700 miles to the Netherlands and check myself into a hotel there in order to see LALP on the big screen. As it looks now I'm going to have to do something similar to see them live this tour so no, I'm going to have to pass on option number four.

Unfortunately, there's no LALP show anywhere nearby... :-[

But I'll get the other three things. :)

Buying the album in vinyl depending on how good it is. And I must say that after hearing "The Enemy Inside" my expectations dropped a lot.

The album is the only thing I'm doing here. The book sounds cool, but I don't have motivation to read it. I'm not sure why anyone would want to own Octavarium more than once.
