I did some touch up work in Audacity to make it louder and remove the random popping even though I was being perfectly still. 2:40 of the song, enjoy!

Taking a while for me too. Is that Soundcloud, or did I screw up somewhere?

Also, for the reddit users, where is a good place to ask a question like this? I tried Tipofmytongue but is there another that applies more since this isn't really on the tip of my tongue, but rather I just don't know.

No luck so far.  I think I've made out most of the lyrics, though.  Starting at the beginning of the Soundcloud clip:

Edit: "Well bend me over twice with a forklift" they're actually from Sweden. Should have known, we have a pretty big following for AoR and Westcoast rock in Sweden.

I had looked at that page earlier and thought how ancient it looked, but this thought had not occurred to me.  Now that you mention it, I'm also kinda surprised there was no unmutable midi file playing.  :lol

The mistake I was making was trying to find the lyrics online. If I'd tried to guess the name of the song, and eventually gotten it right, the song pops up multiple times on the first page of results. :facepalm:

"Touching me tonight" is a marvelous mid-tempo ballad a-la Bryan Adams meets ...

Which sounded about right. Following the link gave me the band and song to look up on Spotify. Had Spotify not delivered I'd have tried Grooveshark and after that I'd have been a bit stymied.

I was just trying to reduce the lyrics to an identifiable phrase that wouldn't throw up a huge number of results, was likely to be related to the song title and was least likely to be prone to spelling/grammar errors.

I'm sure I've got a compilation cd with a song from these guys on it. Certainly didn't recognise it- from the original clip you played I thought it was a female singer  :biggrin:

It is a female singer... But there is a male singer too on the CD.
