Chord Help
« on: August 05, 2013, 07:00:57 AM »
I don't know if this is appropriate here

but in Carrie Underwood's - Change
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-KGXd4TUEMc
I am performing  this song on Sunday with a singer
I was learning it last night
and I feel the chords I am playing at these minute markers are a little off
Keep in mind these minute markers are from the mp3 not youtube, but should be the same
Any help is greatly appreciated

1:25
into the 2nd chorus
"Do you tell  yourself"
Does it just stay on C?
After 2nd Chorus
2:00 to 2:23

It does indeed just stay on C until the chorus starts with Am.

The second section, the chords are

D (the world's so big.. )
D/C (you just want to...)
D/B (so you close your eyes...)
C (into the dark...)
"I liked when Myung looked like a women's figure skating champion."

thank you good sir
sorry to  annoy you but
what is your preferred fingering
for a C/D and
 D/B

so for instance, G would be
3 2 0 0 3 3

D/C in that order would be

x 3 0 2 3 x

(x meaning you don't strum those string)

and D/B is

x 2 0 2 3 x

All those two chords do is to take a plain D major, and then put a different bass note under it, first a C (third fret on the second string), then a B (second fret on the second string).
"I liked when Myung looked like a women's figure skating champion."

The chord before "C (into the dark...)" is G/B, not D/B.

One way to play it: x 2 0 0 3 3
