6. The Battle of Tyr / Odin's Court

Dehumanizer - 1992

Dehumanizer is the sixteenth studio album by British heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in June 1992.

It was the first Black Sabbath studio album in over a decade to feature Ronnie James Dio on vocals and Vinny Appice on drums. It is also the first in nine years to feature original bassist Geezer Butler. Initial writing and demo sessions at Rich Bitch Studios in Birmingham featured drummer Cozy Powell; bootlegs of these sessions exist.

Lineup;

Tony Iommi - Guitar
Dio - Vox
Geezer Butler - Bass
Vinny Appice - Drums
Geoff Nicholls - Keys

Classic album, and one of my first Sabbath albums and one of the albums that got me into metal.  Perfect metal album, no weak song here really.

Shit, where to start, this is gonna be another tough one.

Definitely one of my favourites from Sabbath. I might go with Sins of the Father.

Fantastic disc! Tough to pick right off the bat; I'll go with Sins too.

I think Sins of the Father is okay to go first.  Really shows the strength of the album though.

Fun fact: this was my first Sabbath album, and Too Late was the first Sabbath track that I ever really, really loved.

I had no idea there were versions with Cozy Powell. I'll have to check that out. Find him much more enjoyable than Vinnie Appice. TV Crimes is just begging for some of CP's fast metal drumming.

This album contains one of my very favorite Dio songs from any of his bands. I ranks right up there with Stargazer at the top of his catalog.

Anyhoo, I'll go with Buried Alive. I'm cool with Sins going, but I rank it one notch higher than Buried.
