I'm going to be tooling around Staten Island tomorrow...
« on: August 02, 2013, 03:07:21 PM »
Going to see Sabbath in Holmdel, NJ on Sunday night, so we decided we'd just leave tomorrow morning and go to Staten Island to find things to do.  We intend to do the Staten Island Ferry, maybe some fishing on South Beach.  Possibly Fort Wadsworth, if it doesn't rain.  Anyone familiar enough to make other recommendations, maybe for food or areas to stay away from or things to see, etc.?

Check out Mandolin Brothers. My dad took me once years ago and it's a pretty cool guitar shop. Pretty much all acoustic though. Located on 629 Forest Avenue.

Staten Island has only ever had two functions for me: to get Boston Market once when my ex and I were craving it, and to connect two different parts of NJ. I've been in it 3-4 times but can't tell you shit about it. I do remember hearing that the part over the Bayonne Bridge is kinda ghetto, with gangs and stuff.
Oh Jackie, always jumping to the most homoerotic possibility.
