The System Has Failed - 2004



The System Has Failed is the tenth studio album released by the American heavy metal band Megadeth. It was released on September 14, 2004, is the second and final Megadeth album released by Sanctuary Records. The System Has Failed was the first of three Megadeth albums not to include original bassist and co-founder David Ellefson. Instead, the album features session players, including former Megadeth guitarist Chris Poland on lead guitar. However, Poland only provided lead guitar parts and solos on a contractual basis and did not rejoin the band.

This is a top 3 Megadeth album for me, I love.  I'm allowing 2 votes in the first round in anticipation of filler tracks being the first to go.

I Know Jack and Something That I'm Not

One of my favourite albums. For me it's more like Dave Mustaine's solo album than Megadeth.

However, it has my second least favourite MD song: My Kingdom. Three minutes of utter boredom.

I didn't notice I could vote two songs. The other would have been The Scorpion.

One of my favorite Megadeth albums. My least favorite song is easily My Kingdom, and if I have to pick another one, I Know Jack is a pretty obvious choice, even though it's a cool little interlude.
