That looks intentional. In the right side, there's a text that's saying: "The place to advertise anything and everything. Plus the billboard and the ad have the same corporate logo.

It's definitely intentional, but it's funny anyway. That's why it works. If the humor in something is based on it being unexpected or unusual, finding out that it was all set up in the first place can ruin the humor. Here, it works because the picture is still funny, and the captions add to that.

No joke, I work with a Chinese bartender, hell of a nice guy. One day a few years back, he wanted to substitute vegatables for the mac-n-cheese on our chicken dish, and rang it in "chicken, no mac, sub reggie..."
