1. Putrefaction
2. Obituary 1928
2. Strange Deja Vu
3. Through My Worms
4. Fatal Tragedy
5. Beyond This Life
6. Through Her Eyes
7. Horde
8. The Dance Of Eternity
9. One Last Bite

Half of the already existing song titles would fit a zombie apocalypse scenario, actually :D

What's wrong with RR?? Trivium here, Trivium there, Trivium everywhere... -.-
How lame of them to promote a band which isn't Dream Theater, HOW DARE THEY :lol

re: last page... what the fuck is wrong with us? lol

Let's just forget Page 125 happened and carry on with our talks about album cover cutoffs and epic song lengths.

I think we should make a fail-safe button: "Do you REALLY want to post this comment? Are you ABSOLUTLY SURE?"

Haha, Metropolis Pt. 3: Necropolis is the best and the worst idea ever!  :rollin "Through Her Eyes" could then be taken literally, and we would have "The Gravedance of Eternity".

I laughed so hard at this :lol :rollin :rollin :lol :rollin :lol :lol

Good luck with that...

And I agree with Blob, as fun as it is, please keep the jokey Metropolis 3 discussion in the Metropolis 3 thread, or even in a separate thread. It has nothing to do with the new album.

With how long this album is taking, we'd be falling into infinity...

Going back to Mike Mangini's interview, it really surprised me when he said he is now listening to the whole album at half speed while showering because he's got to "learn" how to play it note by note due to the improvisation during the recording process. He said: "I improvised so much of it that it’s nice to have the time –because I’m under no pressure now – just to dig in and hear it from different perspectives."

It's a relief for me because I do the same thing and I thought I was a lazy bastard. I always have to learn afterwards what I played in the studio sessions! These guys are humans after all!  :lol

You'd think he would have everything transcribed in Sibelius or something.

I haven't read that interview yet, but yes, his statement is so human! Would be nice to see them in that moment.

There was once a time when I participated in the quote pyramids and naming off DT lyrics to fit a sentence, but it now gets so repetitive since I've seen these for over four years  :lol

I learned a few things about this thread. 5 pages will pass, that's pretty much a given. But I'm pretty good at spotting news, because you'll have people being all excited, and quoting stuff and posting pictures with "Soon" on them.

Easiest way to find actual news in the thread is just to skim for posts by either me or Weymolith, or for links to interviews.  I can pretty much guarantee that anything official is going to be posted by me or Wey and that it will be posted as soon as released.  ...or just keep checking the "fact finder" thread.

EDIT:  Unless one of you psycho fans beats us to the punch.  :lol

Just seen this posted on the official Dream Theater Facebook page

Quote
On Monday August 5th USAToday.com will be exclusively premiering "The Enemy Inside" the first track of the new self titled Dream Theater album. You will be able to listen to it first at https://www.usatoday.com/life/music/

So there we go, Enemy Inside looks to be the first 'Single' and we get it this Monday. Seems like a fairly interesting place to put the debut as well, looking forward to seeing what it's like.
