Dropping some pics of our trip from last week.
Spent 10 days in Northern California. Stayed 7 nights in Windsor, about 50 miles north of San Francisco. Drove along the coast up to Arcata, and then back down for a couple more nights by the airport.
San Fransisco was awesome. Obviously seeing the Golden Gate bridge, but all of the bridges in the massive ocean of a bay were awesome..the Richmond, the Bay Bridge, and we even drove across the San Mateo bridge, which never seemed to end. We went to the SF Zoo, and also this cool place called the Acadamy of the Sciences in Golden Gate Park.
We visited Sacramento, San Jose, and drove through Oakland/Berkeley. Got some great shots of the stadium and Oracle Arena from the highway.
Went up north and drove the Avenue Of The Giants and Humboldt State Park. The Lovely Mrs TAC got to do some wine tastings. She has always want to go to wine country, which I must say, was amazing. Endless vineyards.
Anyway, here are some shots..
The Pacific!!! The beach in SF. Amazing!
A neat thing we did was that my oldest son, who's a special needs guy, wanted to see the Worlds Oldest Lightbulb, which is housed in a Fire Station in Livermore. So we took him. He was very happy to see it. In the pic, it's way up on the ceiling. There's a web camera on it and you can go to some site to view it. Not sure how he heard of it. He's wearing his shirt from the Train Museum in Sacramento, which he was also very happy to visit.
Up north in the Redwoods, at a dried up river which we walked down to. The high water mark was to the bridge in the background.
But here are the two money shots:
