I'll admit. I love Green Day. Well most of it.  I know Kotowboy does too. Does anyone else?

I've listened to Warning a couple times within the last few days. I gotta say it's pulled me back towards GD.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

The only song that I keep coming back to is Misery, and sometimes Dominated Love Slave, but they were a big part of my music listening... two to three years ago, I think.

I had completely forgotten about how awesome Misery was until I listened to the album for the first time in a couple years. That and Church On Sunday are probably my favs off the album

I Love all old school Green Day, from 1039 smoothed out slappy hours, up until shenanigans? I think that was the last album i enjoyed.

I loved American Idiot but found 21st Century Breakdown a bit bloated.

It was therefore a huge relief that Uno! was a return to form IMO - and back to a more stripped down sound - which is what GD do best.

[ I knew i'd love them as soon as it was announced that Rob Cavallo was back at the desk ]

I know i've said elsewhere that I well up at the slightest thing due to....issues.. :P...but I really did for Uno! because the Green Day I fell

in love with back in 1994 and most of all  in 1997 were back.

My top three are :

Nimrod
Dookie
American Idiot

Tre! would go here i think and 21CB would be in last place but that's not saying much because GD just don't do "bad" albums.

Even the Foxboro album was good in it's own unique way.

Not a fan of 21CB (it has a few moments though)...  I love everything before 21CB... Didn't like Uno, enjoyed hat I've heard of Dos, haven't listened to Tres yet

Tre is like Nimrod crossed with a more stripped back 21CB.

If you liked the long songs from A.I. - give the song " Dirty Rotten Bastards " a go.

it's a corker.

I think I'm gonna give Dos another spin and then Tre tomorrow.

Also... Jason Freese is an official member?!?!?

I was a fan back in my early teens but I lost track of them after Nimrod and never really cared for anything else they have done.  Dookie, Insomniac and Nimrod are all incredible, groundbreaking albums though.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Jason White - the 2nd guitar player is the 4th member. Not Jason Freese.

Maybe he was happy being just the touring guy. I know I would be.

No stress in studio. You just get to play live with none of the baggage that comes with being in a band.

No fights in studio over creative differences / song writing etc.

Just turn up - play the songs and go home pretty much.

I'd love to be in that position.

if it paid enough that I didn't have to worry about money ( not stinking rich - just no worries ) - i'd be happy as larry.

I really like the first half of American Idiot, and I like about 6 of the songs on 21st Century Breakdown. Everything else is pretty hit or miss.

Except Uno, Dos and Tre. Barring "Oh Love" and "Stray Heart" (wisely chosen as singles), those albums are beyond awful.
Hire me. I'm talentless but malleable.

Wouldn't call myself a fan but I do own American Idiot and enjoy it. Never really been bothered to check much else out though.

I do have to laugh at the bassplayer in the videos though. He looks the punk part and does all the faces, yet he's essentially playing pop music, just no-one told him

:heart The Song " Sex, Drugs & Violence " from i Tre !

I wondered what It would sound like if it was on Nimrod -

So I recorded some heavy guitars on it and re-jigged the ending.

Went and saw them live during the 21CB tour, it was a great stage show, pyro and fireworks, unfortunately i went off them after that for some reason, just didn't find myself listening to them anymore

Listened through American Idiot at work. Ya know... Whatsername was never a song I liked until recently. It always seemed like an afterthought, especially after how awesome I thought Homecoming was to end the album. Now it's like my favourite song off the album.

Green Day do play some epic setlists, I guess it helps to have so many short songs but still play long shows. :lol

For me Nimrod through to American Idiot were Green Day at their peak. 21st Century Breakdown is also good as has a few really good songs on it, but I agree with Kotow and find it's quite bloated, so it drags a bit.

Have to say that I've been quite disappointed with Uno, Dos and Tre, the first two in particular. I like that they've returned to a simpler, punkier sound for the most part, I just found so few of the songs interesting or memorable. Tre was pretty good though, had some really good hooks on it, which redeemed the series somewhat.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

The first 4 songs on ¡Uno¡ are brilliant and most of ¡Tre!

They could have easily made a killer album with half of Uno, couple of Dos and Most of Tre.

But I like that they did three albums. One for each band member and Jason gets the DVD. ;D

Yeah I don't think you can realise how amazing that was. Being able to hear your favourite band playing virtually in your back yard

( i can see the main stage from my road )

And them playing Dookie in full.

 :'( - pretty much.

It was Eminem last night and tonight it's Biffy Clyro :)

My collection. Pretty much every official release except Shenanigans & I don't need the Superhits! CD when I have the DVD and every studio album anyway... The only songs I don't have are Maria & Poprocks and Coke - But I can easily listen to them on Spotify or purchase them on iTunes if possible...
