I currently use a 1x12 in a ported box, have been for 6 years, but I have my old un-ported 2x10s and I'm wondering if I should switch and if I do switch to the 2x10s should I port the box or leave it. I want more punch and clarity.
I listen to primarily metal and rock in the car but also some pop and New Age (Secret Garden) and, well, pretty much anything. I do have a few dozen "untz untz untz" tracks in there but not much.
Without getting into mathcraft and hardcore number-crunching does anyone have any advice?
