Car Audio: 2x10s or 1x12? Ported or Un-Ported?
« on: June 09, 2013, 02:15:28 AM »
I currently use a 1x12 in a ported box, have been for 6 years, but I have my old un-ported 2x10s and I'm wondering if I should switch and if I do switch to the 2x10s should I port the box or leave it.  I want more punch and clarity.

I listen to primarily metal and rock in the car but also some pop and New Age (Secret Garden) and, well, pretty much anything.  I do have a few dozen "untz untz untz" tracks in there but not much.

Without getting into mathcraft and hardcore number-crunching does anyone have any advice?
