Well, frankly that's way easier than mine to analyze.

Your uncle told you your father was killed in the war between teachers and janitors by an evil teacher wearing a black mantle and a breathing helmet, didn't he?

It all makes sense now! How did I miss it?

I think if you analyzed most of my dreams, you'd come to the conclusion that I just have no life. :lol

Well, what conclusion would YOU reach if I told you that I dreamedof a friend of mine presenting me with a number of truffles boxes that, if aligned in a row, worked as a perfectly functional Haken Continuum Fingerboard. I even played a part of Octavarium in my dream to make sure it wasn't bullshit (it wasn't!).

It's okay, Blob. Life is overrated.

I had a dream I was stranded in this rugged, beautiful countryside. All I needed was for the Count of Tuscany to show up for it to make perfect sense.

Oh my God I love how dream you can play Octavarium. Can you do it in real life?

I am not a musician. I never went further than playing a recorder in middle school (I was quite good at that, though). But I onced learned to play the whole Octavarium intro on Morphwiz to hit on a beautiful lady :). She seemed impressed but it didn't work.

Yeah, those time signature changes are a bitch. I tried learning the intro and gave up. I settled on Wither since I can transpose the vocals to my range and the piano is actually very simple.

Yeah, WFS is much trickier to play than one would imagine. I've played Wither on piano and I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to play on guitar, either (with the exception of the solo), but unfortunately I don't have a baritone guitar.

I just need to actually get ahold of the sheet music. I can't learn it by ear. I should just pay the $5 to get it. Also I want to learn TSCO because I am such a sucker for ballads. :heart

I can't play piano. Especially from behind and looking at an inverse picture. I'll save this trick for the next girl.

I can play TSCO, at least the basics of it. It's a fun one to play. A nice laid back feel to it, and simple chord progression. I can also play part of Another Day (the intro, and first part of the verse). That's not too hard either.

Wait For Sleep is a bitch though. The time sig isn't the problem, it's the big finger spans at moderate speed with two hands. If I practiced it more I might be able to get it, but it's not easy.
I can nail the keyboard riff for These Walls, but that's only one hand, which makes it much easier.

Where do you get the sheet music for it? I've been searching for months to see if there was a way I didn't have to pay.

I transcribe them myself. I have a good ear, and if I find tabs online, I end up spending longer fixing them up than I would just doing them from scratch anyway. :lol

Have you got any programs that will load up a MIDI file to notation?

I use Noteworthy Composer, but there are tons of other programs. Any kind of musical notation program should be able to load a MIDI file just fine.

The interwebs? :lol

It costs moneys, although there's a free viewer for the files called Noteworthy Composer Viewer (how creative!).
I don't really know any other programs that well, so I don't know what alternatives are out there for free.

So I'm making a workout playlist. Any suggestions for DT songs? I work out best to metal, so I have the obvious ones like Honor Thy Father and The Enemy Inside. Anything I might not instantly think of as metal? I raided ToT for a good start.

The Way It Used To Be is a good running track. So is Cover My Eyes. I would also include (maybe I will!) Don't Look Past Me for a fast pace engaging song that stimulates physical activity.

None of them are, but they are all very energetic, upbeat and stimulating. I used them more than once for my running playlists, with success.

Are you a recent fan? :D You oughta be if you don't know those songs!
