this song will be around 20 minutes long, for my epics song.
it will be a mix between octavarium, change of seasons, and milliontown [frost*].  those are the main influences.

I've found that the greatest way to write epics is to listen to epic songs. The only problem is that sometimes it gets a little too similar. The epic I have was inspired by ITPOE, The Odyssey by Symphony X, and also by Porcupine Tree. So the song I wrote has 4 very distinct sections.
I. ITPOE
II. Porcupine Tree
III. So Symphony X it's not even funny
IV. Big reprise, which is structured similarly to the ITPOE finale.

the glass shell part is lyrically structured just like part of milliontown [the piano part, before the instrumental]
it will be hard not to make it sound like it when i go to write the music.
