Classic Rock Vocal Showdown #15: Sting vs Bowie

Battle of the blondie's.  Bowie was always a little too eclectic for my liking.  His style and showmanship just didn't do much for me.  Like most of his work, but it never wow'd me.  The Police on the other hand, while they had some duds, most of their stuff was solid, and they even had the odd diamond.  Sting's voice was the cream of what The Police did.  Could be another landslide here, but we'll see.

Sting for me.

I like The Police and Sting is a good singer, but I like Bowie a lot more.

This is a hard question. I think as a singer I prefer Sting but overall Bowie runs circles around him... I'll abstain from this one

Oh yeah.  Not taking ANYTHING away from Sting, mind you... but... then again, Sting's lost some punch to his voice over the years while Bowie really hasn't.

I will go with how they sounded live.  I've love both singers but Sting was better live vocally than Bowie.
